Confirming the problem Post #67 mentions in this thread.

All of the giant secure containers we leave unanchored but floating in space inside our Wormhole POS used to be accessible by entire corp. Now, we can only access individual secure containers if we launched them for ourselves personally--they become yellow for everyone else in our corp, and our corp members can look inside, but we can't deposit or remove sleeper loot or shared bookmarks or shared ammo.

However, we have one additional problem even worse than what Post #67 mentions.

If we re-scoop the containers and relaunch them "for corp," they turn yellow to everyone--and in our case, they even turn yellow to the player who launches them, so we cannot get our own stuff out again. This is making keeping track of sleeper loot shares a nightmare for us, and for sharing bookmarks with alliance members. It also means we cannot in some cases extract our own goods from our own cans, if we launch them for corp use.

****Slight edit. "Launch" is the wrong word. In many cases, it looks like these are simply "jettisoned" cans left floating inside the POS forcefield for shared corp use.

On PC machine, I can confirm some of the audio problems too. Going through a gate or entering a station I get this quick "SHWOP" sound a fraction of a second as the screen changes from Space to Station or System to System. The UI sounds and clicks are inaudiable, I already miss the beeps and clicks of pushing various buttons.

If you are experiencing Issues with the Launcher not starting up correctly you should first try the following workarounds (this is covering multiple issues start from the top down and only try the next workaround after you have tried to start the Launcher and Game):

  1. Try to restart the Launcher.
  2. Open the launcher directory inside your client install (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE)
  3. Check if you can find 'updater.exe' inside the cache folder, if yes run it - Check if the Launcher is now working.
  4. Delete the cache directory under launcher inside your client install directory - Check if the Launcher is now working.
  5. Delete C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\common.ini and run the Client Repair Tool - Check if the Launcher is now working.
  6. Check if an alternate way of patching works for you.

We are working on a new version of the Launcher which should be released tomorrow.

Edit:
Update of the workarounds

Running the updater.exe worked for me. Thanks!

Corporate Hangar disappeared form Orca, no idea if any other person tried to mine today but I could not.
Not only could the Orca not see it but the miner character also could not open the Corporate Hangar.

My Orca pilot can access the hangars just fine, but then that character is a director with rights to all hangars. Checking the Fleet & Corporation boxes makes no difference to the corporate hangars: members of the alliance who were previously able to access the hangars (i.e.: right-click on Orca -> Open Corporate Hangars) can no longer access the hangars as of this patch.

If there's time to look at it, perhaps add an option to "configure as fleet hangar" on the corporate hangars on ships which have the facility. It would be nice to have a dedicated "fleet hangar" on the Orca which is a bay accessible by the rest of the fleet (and only the fleet), regardless of corporation. This would be awesome for pick-up fleets: when I'm helping new people and inviting them along to fleets so they can participate by mining in a cruiser or hauling in their T1 industrial, I don't have to resort to jet cans.

Replace the "corp hangar" with "fleet hangar" that has no tabs and I'd be happy.

T1 drones (which have BPOs) are still dropping as loot. So is ammo (which also have BPOs).

Known issue:

Quote:
Yes there's currently a defect with orca corp hangars involving pilots in NPC corps. Hopefully will be fixed tomorrow.
If you're in an NPC corp and can't open you're own corp hangar in space, then a semi-workaround is to open the corp hangar whilst docked and then leave the window open whilst you do your thing in space.

So if my NPC clan orca opens hangar in station and goes to mining site my miner can then see the hangar as an option?

Thanks for responses too.

If thats what they said word for word, which it doesnt sound like them, i personally would shoot an email with a copy of it up the chain for customer service. i've been doing computer and system repair for 5 years now in the army, and i've never talked to another soldier like that. i'm a highly stressed soldier, talking to other highly stressed soldiers, and if i can keep my calm and talk to them saying "we are continuing to remedy the issue, if you have any more details or logs you can provide from other users having the same issue, this would be greatfully appreciated", never "yeah, i'm working on it, now quit calling"...and if you've ever met operators in the military, they couldn't tell you what they ate for breakfeast let alone what the issue is other than "its broken".

No it wasn't direct, I'm sorry, I should have specified, the direct quote that I was referring to is...

"The developers are diagnosing and working on this as quickly and efficiently as they possibly can. If this was an easy fix they'd already have a fix for this released. Sadly it seems this is a very time consuming and difficult problem to pinpoint. Testing the fixes also take a bit of time since they want to make sure the "fix" is not making things worse as has happened in some cases before"

I appear to be stuck in an 'incompatible version' loop

I'm am running this on a PC with windows 7 installed and up to date.

Launcher starts up, game is ready to play.
play
incompatible version, download update?
yes
client is ready to update proceed
ok
update happens
launcher starts, goes back to step 1

have tried;

running repair
manual launcher update in eve folder
running launcher, eve, eve in safe mode as administrator
have deleted patch and started again
have manually downloaded patch and ran it

none of this works; i'm stumped and it looks like I will have to download full client. On my interent connection here in Borneo it will take a long time and use half of my monthly download limit.

Hello CCP,

First of all UI issue I noticed 5 minutes into the game:

1. Overview Font size is 2 times larger than actuall font size. It looks extremly unnatural and in combinaton with a small screen and seven columns makes the overview look to full.

2. UI sounds are VERY quiet. Sound for clicking on Neocom or D-Scan-Scan-Button are now different and impossible to hear without cranking up speakers to full.

Those are UI things I can live with for a while.

BUT THIS NEEDS FIXING ASAP - GAME BREAKING FOR WORMHOLE RESIDENTS

We live in a WH with an Alliance. For easy access to BMs we use a Secure Container in one of the POS's. The can was launched by a corpmember of me ( not corp ) and everyone had access to it - Write and View.

Since of now this is broken. While you can still take out anything no one is able to put stuff in. We relaunched the container for Corp and not even I, a Corpmember, am able to put stuff inside.
The container is, in every setup, yellow to everyone except the person who launched it. This is making living in a WH together nearly impossible and I really hope this was not the intent.

Warning we get when putting stuff in is: You cannot...container does not belong to you...not a member of the fleet or the corporation...

We tested it with being in Fleet, it still does not work.

As I said it is game breaking for WH Dwellers and it needs fixing ASAP.

Thank you !

( might sound more dramatic as it is for most but not being able to share BMs especially with mutliple timezones will make it a pain in the *** )

Sounds like the person launched the can for himself and not on behalf of corp. It's the same as pos modules ect if you have the roles you can launch for yourself or for corp.

Problem: Incursions in lowsec are completely worthless.
Description: Lowsec incursions (a very well-done social PVE experience) now pays less than solo'ing level 4's and MINING.
Risk: CCP Resources wasted on developing a viable social PVE experience that requires co-operation and planning and being replaced by a solo venture that pays more.

Also, wtf with the lying to us on Sisi and in the patch notes CCP? See: Assault sites.

The issue i have been having is as soon as I get into the game and try to warp somewhere the CCP.exe locks up. I have used the eve repair tool and it didn't help. I guess I will have to uninstall and start over.

Also confirming UI Sounds and Orca Issues

Testing for Orca issue
Orca - Pilot in Player Corp 1
Mackinaw 1 - Pilot in Player Corp 1
Mackinaw 2 - Pilot in Player Corp 2

Orca set to allow Fleet Member Usage turned on
Mack 1 can access Orca Normally
Mack 2 Cannot even see the option to open the Corp Hangars

Thought that it might have been that I changed the setting whilst on grid or something, so after I filled the Orca and was about to come back from station I changed the Fleet member usage Setting prior to Warping, unfortunately it made no difference so you can cross that off the list of maybe work arounds.
