No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher.

Upon starting EVE, I am given the following message. I am given then the chance to click "ok" or "start EVE". If I start EVE, Tranquility's status is "unknown." My internet is working perfectly fine, no firewalls on, no AV, etc. The repair tool is also acting funny.

EDIT: Strangely enough I can connect despite the "unknown" status and the fact that the newsfeed at the character selection screen says "URL Error"

I get the same issue. But yet I can play the game. I get no in game browser availability. Firewall's are turned off and this is a fresh install of XP Pro and no AV. I can't run repairs because it can't find the internet. I've even uninstalled eve and reinstalled to get the same issue. I've flushed DNS several times and have two different ISP's that I go through (work and home) and I still am not able to patch or anything else of this nature.

I wish CCP would have never fixed something that wasn't broken. Go back to the old way of patching. This new version is horrid!

I'm not sure what happened but my desktop is now able to patch (win 7 x64) but my laptop still will not connect to the servers. (win xp pro x86). Again I have to waste 2.5 hours of downloading time to get the latest update. I'm about ready to swear off eve all together and take my 4 toons and friends with me.

CCP, are you guys even aware of this or even looking into it?

I also cannot use the eve api at all and no matter what I do I never see the launcher just the msg about the content server - yet I can play just fine.

I was finally able to get mine back up to connect after I tried a few things. I uninstalled all my network connections and reinstalled them.

Then went to system restore back about a month and set it back. After installing the last full install I had downloaded prior everything worked again. Not sure if you guys want to try that. No thanx to CCP for helping in anyway. Good luck guys

I was in Seattle at a hostel last week, and the problem seemed (on my end) to be related to a weak wireless signal. I was connected, but it was intermittent enough that the Launcher was having issues.

Not saying that this is your issue, but that may be a place to start.

I can't get rid of my darn signature!  Oh, wait....

I have no eve launcher just a box saying the above then ok or start eve which means everytime CCP patches I have to completely reinstall.
