Failure To Assimilate The Matari: A Post Mortem

Footwear! Most of the day, I'm quite practical about footwear. In the absence of some pressing need for a more sensational gesture, I prefer to leave my feet largely unencumbered. That way, I am always free to massage tummy ripples or... other anatomical crests and valleys.

When putting together an ensemble meant for purposes beyond ambulation or fondling, such as leading a feathered procession up a Ziggurat in an eco-arcology on a barren planet (not that I do such things regularly), I prefer to avoid symmetry. Now, the heels should be of the same height, certainly, to avoid an unsightly gait; however, the toe treatment, rise up the calf, pattern, coloring, texture, gem encrustation - all that - should differ one foot to the other. In this way, a curve is introduced to the flow of energy or appreciation up and down. I particularly like to offset an asymmetry in footwear with appropriately tilted head dressings.

The observer's eye must never be allowed to rest.

Speaking of curves, one of my boys procured a fabulous albino boa on Ardishapur Prime. Putting his own formidable serpent to good use, if you know what I mean, the adorable lad secured this treasure at a bargain price. Now, I've somewhat lost track of which infusions have gone with what gigolo testicles (I have too many, really), and that might leave the reptilian proprietress either bursting with offspring or dead (the assassin sperm cell being a favorite trick of mine); but - as per a previous note - being poisoned is a daily fact of life in Amarr (particularly if you sell exotic animals; I hear there is an unusual scorpion army on a backwater planet in ostensibly Gallente space...).

In any event, my harem bunny is entertaining aristocrats on an InterBus liner to Kador and I've got the snake - a future avatar of the Devourer, incarnate. She is taking well to her new cybernetics, including an adorable pair of wings, and her opalescent scales now glisten with menacing crimson imagery from ancient Matari myth. I have no shortage of source material to work from, as Great Auntie Kali was quite voracious applying terraformative excavators to archaeological sites. She scooped up villages, or points of other interest, as if applying one of those ice cream extraction utensils to the planet's surface. Dumping the scoopage into great big sifters, she filled barge after barge with "stuff." It's almost as if she was looking for the proverbial dust mite in a cathedral. I don't know if she ever found her mite, but she certainly stuffed cellar catacomb after cellar catacomb with idols and carvings and canoes and totems and you name it.

Very little will be Krusual, of course, given the preparations that tribe made for the Devourer's summoning (and I suppose in some literally figurative sense, Auntie was quite the devourer herself) - but one can always extrapolate. I am also pleased to announce that my Brutor initiate has almost just now bumped up to the second tier of agency with the Krusual office in Hek. Both he and my lycanthropic Sebbie puppy have begun looking for the Krusual Golden Child in earnest. Moreover, I have almost settled on a formal name for my tribal rebellion.

The newly translated ancient prophecy of the Sleepers quickens beneath Mummy's dark light, boys!

I was taught that Holders were my spiritual superiors and I should learn all I could from them in order to better myself and serve my family.

Banana smoothie with vodka, you say?

I thought this sort of...deviance...is frowned upon in the Empire? You know, just like it is in civilised societies.

Sex is frowned on in civilized societies?

That must be why none of the large societies are civilized.
