  • So finally people will fight against Suicide Ganks and Harrasments in EVE Gameplay Center

Hello space friends! So what have I missed? Another corp/alliance wanting to help the miners?

James 315 is the only one miners should go to for help just IMO HTH.

  • ***Freighter Ganks have doubled in Hisec---How to avoid****** in EVE Communication Center

Freighters dying in highsec? No way.

  • The suicide cult of CODE is deleterious in EVE Gameplay Center

I really enjoy playing EVE and its sense of community. However, some areas are quite disturbing. I am talking about James 315 and the deleterious cult of CODE.

James 315 has delusions of grandeur and his cult like ramblings remind me of Jim Jones of Jonestown infamy. Truly believing his own rhetoric that CODE are contributing to the betterment and growth of Eve.

His naïve guileless cult like followers have all the hallmarks of religious brainwashing. It is their personal choice to follow his ramblings, but to force through threats others to carry his "all hail James 315" mantra is beyond the pale.

Our parents told us to stand up to bullies and never bow down to false prophets. Hold firm to your sense of right and be brave in Eve.

    STAND AS FREEMEN

    BURN YOUR CODE PERMIT

HELP YOUR UNSUNG MINERS AND PATROL THEIR BELTS

AS INDIVIDUALS COME TO UEDAMA AND STOP CODE GANKING

AS CORPORATIONS FLEET UP AND DRIVE CODE OUT OF EMPIRE

DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED ANY LONGER

Ahh the echoes of someone telling someone else to do something for them that will benefit their play-style.

  • Wanna shoot CODE.? in EVE Gameplay Center

Hi Tora, I see at war with Code. again :pirate:

There used to be fleets that would roam Null, mostly SMA and TNT space IIRC, but that was awhile ago.

  • Feedback : high sec security (ganking question) in EVE Gameplay Center

    Saredan wrote:

1 : lower the kill rights cost or make it no cost (or make a cost cap )
2 : lower the kill right cost for a particular pirat each time the same pirat kill someone in high sec .
3 : make a system looking if a high sec system is constantly under pirat attack (of the same persons) and make that CONCORD roam in large fleets in all the system after let say 30 min of repetitive attack of same pirat persons in high sec .
4 :(optionnal) (don't know if possible) limit the number of client possible running from the same IP adress
this can prevent a high sec system lock
5 : make another high sec route around uedama and sivala (gank point) so the traffic can be derived to another route if needed and not making 40 jumps .

it is unacceptable that a SINGLE person can lock out a system with 12 accounts .
we are 30000 players live and we got annoyed by 1 man with 12 accounts .
i know a lot of peoples who say same as me .

gank will still exist , but in a limited way than it is actually .

    1. Killrights don't matter on a flashy red character (-5.5, or whatever it is now).
    2. See above.
    3. It's called the Star Map. Use it.
    4. Bad idea as it would effect all players not just the ones you don't like.
    5. Regardless of this being a good or bad idea it's irrelevant as the gank fleet would separate half the bumpers to lock down both systems.

[6.] It's more like 37 accounts bro common.

Not getting ganked comes down the the player, not CCP magic.

I want to take a moment and discuss your overall believe that -10 pirates don't suffer enough 'penalties'. As a -9 something character I can tell you that it does suck at times to be in highsec as flashy red. Granted it isn't very often, but still it does happen at the worst of times.

As for why, the only answer I can provide is "Why not?" EvE is an open game, and people can play how they wish. Just as players are free to set up protection rackets like CODE. and others, players are also free to stand up against them and fight. To date, nobody who has chosen the latter option has been organized enough to be successful, but it's not because they weren't free to try.

Yes, this. I choose the latter, I see other miners, spineless, 'carebears' you are all calling them? They've even tried to get me to pay the extortion fee to be 'safe' while mining. No thanks. I'm going to fight, but I suck, for now. I'll get better at combat, but I'm going to fail in the process, going to lose lots of ships, I'll need lots of isk, which I'll mine mine for. Having trouble with the first combat security mission I'm doing in the game.

I don't want to be a cry baby, I had my fill searching this forum yesterday and got tired of reading those posts of complaining.

Thanks for the hints to keeping myself safe. Learning curve is huge on EVE, it's easier learning Photoshop, I'll keep at it.

Go to Lowsec or WH space and ninja mine gas sites. Do this in a venture. That alone will help teach you about your surroundings while making okay isk, or maybe even decent isk for a new player and could be fun having to dodge around gatecamps, or entering into a WH, etc.

And again, you'll learn a thing or two.

  • Why High Sec Gankers? in EVE Gameplay Center

Why are people playing in such a cheesy way? Attacking slow defenseless mining ships, then extorting the players for a marginal fee so it won't happen to them again? Why? Why has a virtual mafia taken over the game, "The New Order of Highsec". They aren't the only ones either.

Because James 315 is the savior of Highsec and Eve Online is a sandbox MMO.

    Welcome.

I lost 2 Retrievers in two days, would have lost more but I just stop mining when my assailant logs on. It's a real pain to be on edge when I'm mining trying to relax in real life, and I get trolled by some virtual gang who thinks their way of playing the game is the only way.

Sounds to me like you're learning; WL an enemy of sorts, adapting to your environment and surroundings with making necessary alterations to your strategy that best prolong your chance of survival.

But what do I know, I'm just a noob to this game...I'm also a hardcore PC gamer, and I have options where I can spend my money. I'd like to spend it on this game, but won't if I keep getting trolled. I'm one guy, one guy who's out spoken, and I promise my thoughts are shared by other players.

I've never been a fan of players in any game saying, "if [insert selfish request here] doesn't happen then I'll leave!!" It's a sign that instead of figuring out how to play the game you would rather have the developers do it for you.

    Adapt or die.

    Not being negative 10 enough

You never kicked me for my bad warp-ins! And you gave me a medal! The best medal EVAR!

  • CODE is killing this game! in EVE Gameplay Center

The best way to tell if someone is an IRL terrorist is definitely to base it off how they play a video game.

  • HighSec Ganking and Appropriate Punishment in EVE Gameplay Center

I have to agree with the above post. As a mach bumper webbed Freighters are the most difficult to catch; in fact, they are virtually impossible if done right by the webber/Freighter.

The only real counter I see to this is long point.

The other not very likely is just being lucky when the Freighter breaks gate cloak and the bumper happens to be within <5km to maybe get off a love-tap.

  • Pirates Code in EVE Gameplay Center

I did, but they seemed more focused on Cruisers and up; unless I missed something. I'm a poor and only want to risk losing a Frigate.

  • Pirates Code in EVE Gameplay Center

I actually honor ransoms; haven't had much of a chance to, most players don't believe me which can be a good thing.

    1. I would honor a 1v1, but it would have to be in lowsec, I'm -10 and I'm not throwing down isk to "fix" it.
    2. Probably also going to want it to be in Frigates; hull doesn't matter as long as it's a Frigate.
    3. I would advise the opponent to scout the system for their own sake of curiosity and I would do the same.
    4. We would have to be in a fleet the entire duration of the fight to ensure no links and no one else is coming.

    Good riddance to bad rubish.

The thing with ecm burst is you need your safety set to red in Highsec and something tells me OP's not that type of player Pirate

    Logi is a great idea.

    Damps/TD don't matter much.

    Tank is great option.

But honestly it really comes down to situational awareness.

Or just mine in a procurer or skiff and don't get ganked ever because they will have to spend more than the value of the killmail to break your tank.

    They get ganked.
