  • Succession Trials Candidacy – House Kor-Azor in EVE Communication Center

Your grace, Aya Khema representative of His Highness, Aritcio Kor-Azor. Please let me to pledge my loyalty and my combat prowess to represent His Highness in the upcoming trials.

My inner being as a devoted believer in Amarr tradition even being of humble origin of Minmatar was deeply shaken by the passing of Empress Jamyl. It took me this long to recover from these sad events to be able to send you this letter and declare myself up for selection.

I'll tell you my life's history to demonstrate my worthiness to represent His Highness in the upcoming succession trials.

From the first day I was born i went straight into combat in region of Delve, born a Minmatar i quickly realized how wrong their ways are and with the help of true God believing comrades i was born again into faith of the Amarr.

Growing up in lands shaken by War constantly I managed to quickly show aptitude of combat and improve at rates that no other could, flying Frigate class vessels first i helped kill unaccountable amount of enemies. After short amount of time i was taken in and trained on the field of battle in region of Pure Blind under such pilots like Wrik Hoover of (then)Test Alliance and Elise Randolph of Pandemic Legion. Having completed my training I flew in my first Alliance Tournament at the age of not even a year.

Having learned everything i could from people that i knew, I have set out on a new adventure in search of bettering my combat abilities even more, not long after i found new friends in region of Fountain from who I was shared knowledge of the true way to win in combat and those secrets I will use to win if I shall be selected.

I have seen big battles with 4000 people in them like 6VDT-H, flown under many great FCs like progodlegend, Elo Knight, Staffo 0, have Fleet Commanded fleets from a single person to 50 people, flown in three Alliance Tournaments, I feel grown up a lot since the first day i was bridged into combat via Avatar class Titan and after death of the Empress it dawned on me - I was destined to fly in the succession trials.

To end with I'll say that you shall pick me if His Highness, Aritcio Kor-Azor wants to ascend the throne as I am a pilot of the highest caliber who is going to do anything he has to to bring glorious victory home.

  • ATXIII Collusion Investigation results in EVE Communication Center

So I'm now 3rd and 4th place winner.. Nice

  • BC Gurista burner in EVE Technology and Research Center

these are quite nasty, at first i tried dualrep Deimos, it could tank fighters easy but could not track them at all, switched to dualweb Vigilant, still could not track, changed my approach and manged to kill the first wave with a kiting arty Cynabal, but the second wave i cant seem to crack, they go at stupid high speed(3.6k) have small sig and long range, their missiles reached me at 100km+

First wave(fighters) does omni damage from what i could tell and have t1 resistance profile.
Second wave (Fighter Bombers) do kinetic damage and seem to be t1 resist profile too.

so far i am out of ideas how to run this one in an efficient manner.

Still see no problem in sharing setups pre match. If you train together, you share setups automatically, where is the problem? oO

The problem becomes when these teams consistently bring the same setups to every match like hydra did. We saw virtually nothing from either team except TFI variations until almost the finals, or when they faced us. The reason this is so important is smaller teams tend to not have as strong a theorycrafting base, or the pilots available to run thousands of hours of tests like ourselves or hydra do. This means the smaller teams end up monitoring the bigger team's meta chain, to see what setups are likely to be strong.

This is huge for the smaller teams, as copying setups is a key part of getting to the later stages of the tournament for them. It's a shortcut, it means they dont have to spend thousands of hours testing new ideas, new comps, ect. I was spying on nulli this year, watching their undock ect (no hard feelings lawl), and they are a perfect example of how a good team does it. They saw hydra's setups, and instead of spending thousands of hours making their own meta chain, they skipped a lot of steps, borrowed all of hydra's teams, and flew the hell out of them to improve them as much as possible.

This year, by reducing the number of setups they revealed, not only did hydra stop every single team from doing this, and massively reduced their chances of beating them, but they also did it with two teams, doubling their chances of getting at least one to the finals. What we ended up with was effectively the same team, except flying twice in the finals. We had to face one of them, beat them, kill their flagship, and then in a very short time period, had to face them AGAIN, have to beat them again, and kill their flagship again. Our entire team was exchausted, stressed, and put at a massive disadvantage. We had to play 6 matches against them, while they only had to play 3, as new pilots and all new ships were drafted in after the first three matches.

This is a problem in itself, but the real kicker is the fact they deliberately communicated to reduce the amount of setups shown, they deliberately communicated which bans to pick, and set out the strategy between the two teams to get them into the finals. Everything was shared, everything they did was intentional (i wouldnt be surprised if dropping one into the losers bracket was planned too). This to me, is collusion. However, not as CCP defines it. I feel this is as bad however, as sharing ships, fixing the finals (it didnt matter at that point anyway other than it saved them a bit of isk having to field more uniques), and generally doing so, so blazenly that everyone knew but could do nothing about it.

What we need to see is the proof that they fixed the final matches, and shared the winnings. Everything else is technically irellevant for the 2015 tournament. however, the collusion which is technically collusion but not really because fozzie doesnt understand how important it is, is the thing that really need to change.

been a part of Nulli team this year, we haven't "seen" hydra setups, pretty sure anyone that has half a brain came up with TFIs on their own, main thing why we flew TFIs for most of the matches is just because that is how "The HUNs" roll, they like taking least vulnerable thing and fly/craft the **** out of it (see Triple Vargurs for a good example). We had other setups, but phoons were the safest bet.

this whole drama is great btw i'm enjoying my popcorn so far

haha keep evading. I know you were practising TFI teams at the start, I know that those teams were found sub par when hydra brought their TFI team, I know you reshuffled your TFI team and i know you tested the only other setup hydra fielded the DAY after hydra fielded it. You know when I was sat on the station? Yeah.

Don't get me wrong, the huns are great pilots, but you're not the best theorycrafters. You deserve to place high, and I know what you were doing with HK this year was all above board. I'm not coming at you. We're rivals, but think objectively about this. You know you were thoroughly testing hydra setups, you know you modified your teams heavily after the first few games you played. Yeah huns tested tfis beforehand to their credit, but they didnt exactly invent the idea, you copied it from the non ccp tournaments. TFI teams, quite frankly, are mid tier, theyre okay, but they're a pretty small rock in the game of rock paper scissors lizard spock which is the final few days.

My worry is huns will take what they did this year, which was fair enough, and start to get more shady, with a lot of other teams, and start doing this kind of thing more and more. You don't need to, it stinks, ruins the tournament. Huns can place well without the need for doing this kind of ****. The times you beat us, you deserved it. There's nothing wrong with copying teams, and huns are the best at it out there.

    cool

  • AT XIII RULING: Together We Solo vs Gone Critical - Team Warp-in in EVE Communication Center

This is simple, you cheat, you loose or even get kicked from the tourney. If you cheat you do not deserve a replay.

as a competitor tourney is hard as it is, now we have to not only play with the meta we have but question every match if they have crystals or slaves in, maybe halos, what if their cheating flagship does not die and we loose? This puts an unnecessary mental strain on participants and it's super simple to solve.

Cant follow rules - get REKT.

also i want my Flycatcher reimbursed

shifting the crow's damage potential from hull bonus to a fourth launcher without a commensurate increase in grid is a good way to make crows, in general, be more catchable because now you have to choose between fitting a full rack of LMLs, MSE, or 2s align

First up the crows "damage" was pathetic to begin with. Second Having to chose between weapons and a tank Is bad. Dont believe me then Lets bring back the Old Omen. Thirdly, you had to gimp your fit anyway to get 2 second align times. to the point that you cant really tackle and survive enemy drones with a fast aligning fit.

I feel the crow changes and the mal changes are too heavy handed. and are more likely to send them to the dustbin than actually used.

choosing between tank and damage is something everyone should have to do

by your logic i should be able to fit a drake tank on a tornado

you also don't have to gimp your fit to get sub-2s align ceptors today, the malediction today does 97 dps, 4k EHP, and has 2s align with a 30 km engagement window (mjolnir furies) or 79 DPS with a 40km engagement window (CN mjolnir)

with the new changes the crow may actually be catchable on gates and the malediction will be forced into short range to apply damage (while retaining its ability to do pure tackle)

this is unironically a good thing

link the fit that does all of this
