  • CSM12 Candidate Interviews & CSM Podcast in Council of Stellar Management

    Hi everyone,

For those who don't know me, I ran for CSM11 and thanks to the wonderful support of all you capsuleers wa sthe most voted for candidate (in terms of ballot appearances) and came overall third in the selection process after MrHyde and Aryth. I pulled out of the running after voting had ended last year due to poor health that I spent the following 6 months dealing with, because I didn't want to be on the CSM if I could not commit to it fully. I will not be running again this year (though I have not ruled out ever running again) as partly due to that reason I have not been as involved in the wider state of the game as I would like to keep my knowledge suffieciently up to date to be a valuable member of the CSM, and I have no intention of applying to a position knowing I cannot commit myself too fully.

That said, I still care immensely about the CSM and have been overjoyed with how well CSM11 have done and want to support it and it's visibility moving into the transition phase from CSM11 to CSM12. Mid-2016 I started a CSM podcast in an effort to increase visbilty and communication betwene the sitting CSM and the communnity, however it faded into the background as I was still recovering from my health issues and was generally struggling to manage all the projects I wanted to do. Well before this I did a long-form interview with James Arget for CSM8 in an attempt to go more in depth with a candidate than the usual 20-minute quickfire or group affair that other groups tend to do when interviewing the CSM.

As we move into the final third of CSM11's term and the transition to CSM12, I intend to do as many interviews as is reasonable in the style of my James Arget one, modelled on James Lipton's inside the Actors studio to get a deeper understanding of the candidates who are willing to talk to me. I am not going to commit to attempting to interview every candidate, and I do not expect every candidate to necessarily want to do such an interview, but I hope there will be a few. Further, I am currently working behind the scenes to potentially start the CSM podcast up again, with a goal to make it a semi-regular show, rotating through groups of sitting CSM members to assist in CSM-player communication and CSM visibility.

TL;DR If you're running for CSM12 and would be interested in being interviewed in a long-form style by me, please get in touch. I'm also working on starting the CSM Podcast running again.

  • Looking to join a team in EVE Communication Center

I would suggest joining an alliance that you know has a tournament team and applying to join their AT groyp when that time of year comes around. Best of luck!

Tempted to post my other char but can't do 30b Sad

Guessing yo want something along the lines of... over 50M SP, multi-racial frigs, destroyers, and cruisers, including multi-race T2, and T3, T2 fitting skills for shield, armor, missile, hybrid, hyrid, laser with just over 300,000 non-allocated SP?

Sounds good ^_^ I can do higher than 30B (probably up to ~35).

  • WTB Well-rounded Subcap PvP Character - Budget 20-30B in EVE Marketplace

Not specialised into one race or one type of hull, I want Support/Gunnery/Missile/SpaceshipCommand skills.

No need for any cap related skills.

  • ATXIV Finals Viewing Party, Birmingham England in EVE Communication Center

I am super excited to announce that on Sunday October 16th, in co-operation with #EVE_NT, I will be hosting a Alliance Tournament Finals viewing party & meetup!

When: Sunday October 16th, starting ~15:30 local time.
Where: The Bristol Pear, Selly Oak, Birmingham, England

    http://www.thebristolpearbirmingham.co.uk/find-us/

The Bristol Pear is a 30 second walk from Selly Oak train station, which has regular trains to and from Birmingham New Street, Birminghams main train station. If you are planning on driving I would suggest avoiding the centre of town as it is the day of the Birmingham Half Marathon, so some roads will still be closed.

Prediction competition: There will be a competition to predict the outcome of the finals day games, with the winner receiving one Sansha Victory Edition skin

Come have a pint with EVE nerds as we watch the final day of the tournament!

  • Alliance Tiurnament XIV Finals viewing event, Birmingham, UK in EVE Gameplay Center

    Hey guys!

I love the Alliance Tournament. I also love hanging around with EVE nerds in real life getting drunk. I have several bars & pubs in Birmingham, England (a nice central-ish location with good proximity to train stations) who are down to host us having a viewing event for the final day of this years tournament, Sunday October 16th.

Naturally, to put this on I need to know if there are p[eople who would actually show up! Please let me know in this thread if you'd be down for showing up and hanging out while watching the finals.
