All the presentations and events were well covered. Picture and audio quality were great and well shot. The 2-3 audio/stream hickups I noticed were handled swiftly and at overall the streaming was very constant and error free. The interviewers did their part well keeping the stuff interesting between events together with their quests.

Very professional work. Thank you for delivering everything to our homes.

Indeed! The coverage was pretty darned good. Thankyou especially to CCP Sunset who was able to keep the conversation fresh despite her obsession with orbital bombardment, and CCP Guard who consistently blessed the interviews with his own flavour of cool :)

I have not been able to get anything done this weekend because I had SO MUCH FANFEST. Can't wait to catch up with everyone in Reykjavik, 25 April 2013!

Sry to **** on the parade but no, i'm not impressed this year.

The HD-stream was a mess. It often hicked up (no it wasnt my problem, did pingtests and the free-stream did run fine). I bought the HD stream to get a secure viewing slot. It just wasn't reliable. On the first day it crashed during Dust-keynote....

Then the sound issues, the messed up volume, and AGAIN lack of mics for comments (guys, how long are you doing this now? you KNOW this stuff....), devs that couldnt hear a word on stage because the acoustics just never got tested....

Next year....i expect better. Last year was good.

EDIT: well, cudos to the presenters of course, they did well. just the tecnical side of things....not impressed this year.

Enjoying each little bit of of that streaming. Awesome and absolutely pro, I mean, c'mon it's a nerds event about spaceships and if one can't expect CNN to come cover this exceptional and amazing space ships/new shooter concept.
I'm even happy none of those giant suckers did, because that just opened the door for a talent, and what a ******* talent.

Thank you.

Am I correct in my assumption that CCP Loxy was running the show

Great work

Some feedback
- There were continuous audio-issues with the (great) montages having a lot of static noise. This, together with some other glitches with sound, makes me wonder if there was an actual end-user check on the feed
- The interviews by CCP Sunset and CCP Guard should have been alternated more with 'on-the-floor' interviews with (non-famous) players and at the different roundtables. Doesn't have to be live so it could be used to plug holes like the Dust-keynote
- CCP Sunset interviews CCP-employeers like a lousy news-anchor 'interviewing' a foreign correspondent, (she did great with players though). And CCP Guard should stop saying "that's very interesting" every other sentence. Lol

So it's over? Does this mean the devs will be back working on the bugs?

It was a new venue. I'll give a little slack on that. Yet I think some of the presenters need perhaps some more rehearsals. Some are fidgety and nerves, clicking their tags or some other annoying repeatable action. And show Hilmar how to hold a gun properly. Oh and get a less stubborn concept artist, The Fail Whale could have been an awesome Angry Sansha Catfish racer.

But seriously, thanks for the support, guys. It was my first time doing live TV and it was a great experience. The first day I was always allowing the mic to drift towards my ear, that got better on day 2. Technology and biology would probably agree that talking with your ears is no good for the audience at home.

Sunset and Soundwave are both absolute pros and very good to work with. Then we had Loxy outside in the broadcast truck all weekend managing things like a champion when he wasn't forgetting to turn off stuff and accidentally chit chatting in our ears during interviews :D. Only happened a few times but it was funny as hell. I don't know how he does what he does, the man is a genius.

Also GM Moxie jumped in as our floor manager and ran around like a whirlwind getting people on set and making sure everything was where it was supposed to be. Super well done! Sreegs also jumped in at times and got us cool guests to talk to. He's such a bundle of love, that guy! CCP Mindstar was helping with all sorts of technical issues and helping Loxy run the show, it makes things a lot easier having backup like that guy!

Can't wait for next Fanfest, and if you have more tips for us on things I'd love to hear them. It's all about getting better every year ;)

There was room for improvement, but I join in the thank yous.

It really helped bring the experience to those of us unable to attend.

Happy to have paid for the HD, which made a big difference on several of the more technical presentations and the keynotes.

Very much enjoyed the interviews as well. Good job to CCP Sunset and Guard as primary hosts and to all involved.

Can't wait for next year, but am hoping to be there in person!

I'd like to use this opportunity to say that atleast in the free stream the audio wasn't that good. I had to turn my volume as high as i could to hear the presentations. And when there were questions without microphone, the presentators weren't repeating those questions - all i could hear was the presentators answering the question: "Yes yes... Totally... I agree..." -or something...

I disagree!

You must be mistaken CCP Guard, there is no way a Goonie could be a bundle of love. Did he threaten to beat you up and take your lunch money if you didn't say how much you love him, much like the current Goonie CEO?

This was a big peeve. Missed out on a lot of details because of things like that. Be it just comedy or actual info.

I liked it overall. I did not care for the Christian bashing in the presentations talking about no more certain features but other than that, it was what I expected.

The Q/A portions could use some improvement The fine details will get better. I am just surprised there were no mics to ask questions with and people to control the lights...

You mean no more Jesus features? The features put forth as being there to "save" EVE?

Only thing that bothered me was that during the presentations I would had preferred to see what was on the screen.
Now it was mostly blurry mush with some guy explaining things and I was like "show me the damn screen I wanna see the screen, not you. God dammit !" Twisted
I was watching the regular mushy stream, which I would had preferred you to send with a slightly better bit rate even if it was free and HD was available for money.

What money?

I bought plex with 490 million isk.
Then I used that plex to buy hd stream and received 2 quafe shirts and custom painted iteron mk IV as free bonus.
Then I sold the custom painted quafe iteron mk IV with 500m isk through contract system to some Amarrian dude.
Then I watched fanfest stream on HD for free and still had quafe shirts as free bonus for doing so.

Now... if you did something else - you just did it wrong.

edit: yes and thank you for the excellent show!
