CCP, you forgot the deaf players again...

First off, I'm not deaf...

But... that Fanfest Cinematic was astounding, and while you have subtitles for our Russian, German and Japanese friends, yet again, there was nothing for our English-reading Deaf, or Hearing-impaired players :ccp:

I've done it for you...

But it wasn't all that long ago that you had a Dev post that they'd start doing it...

Anyway... amazing trailer. Thank you.

Supporting this thread because a dev *did* say they would do this. In a game advertising itself as a global game, not having english subs is a glaring oversight.

You missed the part where they translated it for the localised clients. Using your own flawed logic, they translated it to german in realtime... surely its easier to translate it to english to begin with!

(ps thats a not so subtle hint that you shouldnt post)

Nice job! Although I am not deaf, yes, there are usually small descriptions of some sound effects. You can probably use brackets for this, example:

[The loud, pulsing hum of machinery]

Although, I suppose if you are deaf, you might not be too sure of what that would sound like... hmm.

I'll have a think about that, then... I had thought that the large gap before the dialogue actually kicks in might be a bit 'bare'...

as myself being Hearing-impaired i have troubles hearing voices that is mixed with a lot of noice i would love to have english subtitles..

Sorry it was me who said we'd do it (I did make sure the latest CDIA files vid had english subs), i've been running the evetv feed the past few days and I just plain forgot to get this covered by someone else. I'll try to get subs on it with in a few days.

always easier to understand with text, and even more with sound AND text ;)
