Where can i buy the 580 GTX for plex?

Who has the link for it?



Or is limited to a specific country?

don't think the offer is live yet.

also, it's the gtx 560, not 580, big difference there :P

Give them a couple of days to get stuff sorted - the devs are at Fanfest still and it will take a few days to get everything back into order...

I think Goonswarm already has IN GAME contracts where you can exchange 20 PLEX for a card Lol

560 is still a pretty good gfx card, i need about 10 more plex to get one, but was this confirmed? and when can we do this >.>

Meh, the 560ti is a much better card. I might have cared if it was better spec than a crappy base 560

20 PLEX for one card. Limit one per account. If I understand correctly they'll start out by offering 100 cards in this manner, if it's popular then they may offer more later.

"much better" is now 3 -8 fps improvement.

i'l definatly be wanting the 560. in a few years i could sell it or use it as a physx card if needed, heck it would make a good budget gaming card in a few years easy. i had 5 plex lying around, so i'l grind and hopefully get enough to pick one up.

Doing a little armchair math here (in USD) 20 plex at $17.99 = $359.8

I got my MSI (ridiculous part name) 560ti for ~$230 or 12.78 plex

I guess if you can grind out the 20 plex its a good deal

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

The offer is way to much expensive... If you have 20 plex left...okay.. but the exact card goes for €140 at amazon..and 20 plex in the accounmanagement 300 or 400€

well a gtx 560 is worth about 170 EUR. a GTX 680 costs more than 500. so if they would offer a gtx 680 you could expect a price of 60 plex (fyi that would equal 1000 EUR). Same with the GTX 560, if you would buy plex with money and buy a gtx 560 with that you would pay 340 EUR, twice as much as the gtx 560 is actual worth atm

although plex for a graphics card is nice i think the pricing is way too high and not really fair. Ofc every eve player would only pay ISK to get the plex but still the price is way to high for what you actually get

also this is not a gtx 560 Ti just a GTX 560 you will get for plex

Plex for video card is an obvious plex sink designed to remove large stores of plex from the game. If you can't afford a 560 but can afford to grind out enough isk to buy 20 plex you might want to rethink your whole life.

Aye, but for some of us 20 plex is pretty meaningless. Since there's no real way to translate ISK into real life money GTX 560 for plex basically just means a free graphics card Lol

I wouldn't usually have any reason to buy a new GPU, but since I'm not doing anything else with my ISK I'll be trying to grab one of these when they put the promotion up. Which I suppose was their intent.
