If you have such ABYSMAL self esteem, that you need to curse so that people think you're cool, it's actually the other way around, you're making disgrace of yourself and people will like you less, if at all.

Other than that, Keynote yesterday looked awesome Cool

What are we, elementary schoolers? I think it's safe to assume that adults don't curse because it makes them "seem cool". Maybe with all my goddamn sophistication I've become too ******* naive for my own good. ****.

While I feel he's being a bit too sensitive for this game (whose official motto is "Harden the **** Up") I don't think he's being particularly close minded and evangelical per say.

If I may play Pubbie's Advocate (like a Devil's Advocate, only a bit dumber and fat) he might just be (inelegantly) attempting to suggest that the community leaders should perhaps be attempting to be more eloquent than "fuckin' a, fuckin' b, fuckin' c..."

However I would counter with the fact that community leaders (ever since Goons drove BoB out) aren't pretentious assholes with sticks up their asses is one of a great deal of things that makes EVE so special.

Harden the F up? In this game? Seriously? Excuse me while I evacuate my bowels laughing hysterically. All I hear anymore in relation to this game is whines that equate to "Change every other players aspect of the game but leave mine be".

I'm not even sure where the evangelical accusations even come into play in regards to the OP. I searched and found no references to either faith based thinking, nor religious fervor. All I read was someone's disdain for the overuse of words that do not mean anything except to 14 yr old gangsta wanna-be suburban brats and internet tough guys. Please point out the evangelical references clearly or take your small minded bias elsewhere. It reeks of...

And sorry, but you guys are far from community leaders, except maybe in your minds. Most of us give an itch on our eyebrow more thought than you 'Pubbie Haters'. You can keep your circle, for every herd needs a corral.

Peace.

We create game content for thousands of players. Whatever pubbie demigod you see as a "community leader" most likely does not.

Get the **** over it. This isn't WoW. The fact that there is a single game on the market that actually allows adults to act, speak, cuss like adults is amazing in of itself. Pisses me off when a small group of nobodies try to ruin a single aspect of a game / show and it destorys the fun for thousands of others.

If you can't deal with it, don't watch / play it. Its as simple as that.

I wish my EvE experience was so shallow that I actually cared about the language my csm representatives use. Instead I have opinions that are to do with the game itself.

If you care that much, use your vote better next time and throw away your vote to someone like riverini.

It's still assumed that the OP is Christian/American?

On another note, why is it claimed that a stream of swearing is a sign of maturity? I figured it took more self-control not to launch into a tirade when frustrated or pressed than it did to launch one?

I don't think not swearing is a sign of maturity. I think it's a sign of some deep underlying issues. Swear words is just a label applied to words by uptight jerks. Unfortunately those jerks sometimes end up in places of power and thats why we have to love the asterisk.
