No mentions about Apple fixes in patch notes - did you miss the deadline for the notes or was the fix scrapped?

You seem to think that this mess is only an Apple-client issue? If so, you're wrong - head over to the EVE Information Portal forum and behold the fury of the other users in the Incarna 1.5 thread there.

I'm not angry that errors and mistakes happens (I'm astonished, tho), I'm just angry that the CEO said they will listen to the customers and what they do now is completely off-track compared to the vision we heard last summer from CCP government.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to roll back this desastrous update, they don't apologize, they don't offer skill queue management via website, they don't inform us about their strategy and they don't give us a timeline approx.

Total crap. I bought and installed SW:TOR to forget this mess which we are now enduring for too many days... luckily for EVE, there is no native SW:TOR Mac client, so I have to fire up bootcamp which is annoying.... but not that much...

Well this updated didn't change anything, the Mac version is still unplayable for me. I was always so proud how things with EVE seemed equal between the two systems.

Now I restarted last night in Bootcamp, updated EVE. Same computer yet my frame rate is back to being what it was before in Mac OS, with no signs of trouble at all. Not only that, I noticed the PC version of the launcher is much different then the Mac one. The PC one, gives you the numbers of players online, more buttons, ones for plex's even the options are different and have more things to choose from.

I've never been a fan of launchers for games, and I don't like having to start my game before I start my game. Even with the update tomorrow there is not even a hint there is anything wrong with the Mac Client / Mac Launcher.

I really don't think this will even be addressed until after there FanFest.

1.5.3 still won't launch on my macbook.

I'm not going to bother posting any error logs since they probably say the same thing they said a week ago -- and because I highly doubt anybody at CCP is following this thread.

Maybe 1.5.4 will have the fix for mac? I'm not holding my breath, but this time I'm definitely asking for compensation.

Get your **** together, CCP.

I returned now to see what's the experience with 1.5.3 - thank you for the update on 1.5.3, Orrin and Glarbl, I think I won't bother... the Mac client seems to be in a sorry state indeed....

Using the window mode instead of full screen for display option fixed the fps issue on my imac... fps seems back up to the same as before the launcher/patch install.

I can confirm that 1.5.3, which still comes with launcher version 1.04, will not update to 1.5.4.

Here's the error, after patch is downloaded:

Still nothing, my ticket I opened on the 16th is still open and have never heard anything about it or any replies. What is bothering me aside from not evening being able to play on the Mac. Is that nothing is being said at all. Either it is so broken they have no idea why.

It would even be better if they said "We are aware of a problem for the Mac Client, but can't give a time frame for a fix" that would at least be something, but we're not evening getting that.

When I tried a few minutes ago, the launcher updated but it seemed to do nothing.

I tried the suggested window mode, but it did nothing for me, still running with a unplayable frame rate hit.

When running the Mac and Windows Client on the same computer using bootcamp. The only difference I ever noticed between the two. Was the Windows Client has always been slightly smoother when loading data. If I am in the captains quarters and rotate my camera around my character in the Mac there is a slight freeze when loading, where in Windows there isn't. Or in space between the two clients when I first go to warp in the mac there might sometimes be a slight half second pause before warp happens.

Which really doesn't mean anything anymore since the Mac Client I can't even play in it's current state.

Here's some feedback CCP:

Give us a launcher that works on all macs! Fix the python coding error, FFS!

And compensate us for the time we haven't been able to play!

This is unacceptable.

Ok my EVE is back to normal. When I started up EVE a new window popped up briefly and it said it was fixing errors in the launcher, it quickly went through. Then the launcher came up, the launcher itself didn't update anything. I logged in the splash screen ships seemed to move better, then I got to the Captains Quarters and my frame rate was back to normal. I have EVE open right now in the background. What ever it was, had something to do with the back end of the launcher it looks like.

Well it is working now, but I still get a CTD when docking back at the station. I've been getting this since the winter.

OK, strange bug since latest patch, and I think I've narrowed it down:

- Typing away in chat, and accidentally hit ctrl- or option-return rather than return, which inserts a newline rather than submitting.
- Delete the faulty newline
- Hit return

Expected results:
- client submits text

Actual results:
- client goes bzzzt. After this, I seem to lose connection to server. Lose ability to change chat windows, opening other windows or issuing other commands does nothing. Ability to enter text sometimes returns, but no-one else sees it.

10.6.8, EVE version 7.30.353549

Anyone else seeing anything like this?

Update: it's shift-return, and I can't seem to easily reproduce it. Unless it's tied to some sort of chat update at the same time?

Aren't Caldari supposed to have a large signature?
