Customizable API keys and corp contact list

How is it possible to access /corp/ContactList.xml.aspx with the new customizable keys if you're not a director/ceo?
Its currently working for all regular corp members using a full api key. There should be a way to do this with the new keys as well?

Nope, corp level keys are restricted to ceo and director now. Ask them for a key if you really need the data.

So that means using the new API I need a CEO key for retrieving data that was available for all corp members before with the old API and is even public available in game to everyone. Great job.
Why are there still "special" corp keys to issue by CEOs/directors anyways? The Api should just use the access permissions from the characterId who has been passed with the call. Why should a regular corp member not be able to access a corp asset list through the Api, if he has all the permissions in game?

In game you might only have access to some of the corp hangers etc but the API gives you everything so the effect before was you got access from the API you didn't have in game. You still get full access with new keys so now a CEO or Director has to knowingly give you that access and not have everyone in the corp giving it away because they wanted to try some cool new mining site they got from a corp spy that needs a old style 'full' key. Just one example where the new system is better IMHO.

As good as that is a good point,

If it was available in the old system, there will be a time when it will be available in the new.
You may just have to wait a little.

I don't think this will be the case as they have upgraded the security with these new custom API's
