Armored Core V

So I've been a pretty big armored core fan since 4 (I got 3 and I really didn't like that one at all, what without boosts coming with your AC and such), and I just picked up 5 yesterday.

So far, I've seen a lot of mixed reviews online and around, but I have to say I really like the new setup. Granted, I don't like the new graphics that much, they can cause the screen to seem a little more cluttered in some fights and confusing since the graphics and textures don't seem quite as good as in 4, but the online mode is also fairly interesting.

What do you guys think? Also, does anyone want to get a team rolling for the game?

Of all the crowds where I thought I might find some AC fans, I really thought Eve would have at least a few. Sad day.

Oh well.

AC 2 was my first PS2 game, and I've never forgotten it.

Haven't played V, but it looks interesting. If I weren't leaving soon, I'd totally team up.

Looking forward to MechWarrior Online as well.

I honestly don't know anything about chrome hounds. What I do know is that in AC5, they changed the controls around a lot, made flying effectively impossible, and made the game more about tactics than how fast your reactions are (which still does take a big role, just not as much of one as it was in AC4).

I like it a lot, I'd recommend trying it at least.

You can still do that, minus the flying Blink

Well, by the time I get back, I'll have to pick up Armored Core V: Silent Raven or whatever's out. Maybe play it between Dust breaks. Big smile

Honestly, armored core V is awesome, though the cell system sued in the graphics kinda made me cry, preferred the graphics in "for answer"... on a related note, ACV single player sucks, and multiplayer is only fun when you can get a team of competent people online, or a good team.

anyone looking to join a good team join "The Dragoons" (but dont talk about eve in chat, we ahd a guy kicked out because he woudlnt stop tlaking about eve for 9 hours everyday, so the team-leader is kinda sore when it comes to eve)

Thanks for the team info, I'll see if I can leave my current team and try to join that one. I agree about the graphics also, and I don't mind the single player so much, only the shitastic scrap finding thing in order to get new weapons/pieces.

is it really fast paced or is it slower?

Slower than 4, faster than the ones before it. I think the one thing they definitely got right for 4 was high boosts available automatically for all AC's, and they've preserved that in 5 along with some ways to use the environment to your advantage when jumping around.
