Last year it was the same. they think using curse words is helping them get their point across..

I would be happier if they didn't but it's a free world..

The funny thing is I got a warning the other day for swearing in a public channel (Imperial Academy). Then again CCP have a habit of letting certain favourite people and corporations behave badly and get away with it so it's not surprising.

I got an official warning from CCP for posting a picture of a nude woman in a PRIVATE channel... =( Wasnt even a gross pic, just some cunnilingus

The presentation by CEO's, especially the Test and I guess the Goonswarms where pretty sad I guess. Having to drink to make a presentation where your main points are "**** I forgot what my next slide is, BEER" is pretty sad. The one with the singing of the anthems by No Holes Barred was funny though.

But then again I assume these drunk CEO's are all very successfull people in real life that do presentations do their staff daily and know what people want to see is guys slobbering beer and drink while they try to find some slurred words between their insults and gay remarks.

That portion of the event was all players. They were not there representing CCP or even the CSM really (The CSM guys stayed sober for the CSM panel) They were representing their individual player corps and alliances. If that's how they chose to do it, then that's their choice.

Personally i'm glad they got drunk as **** on fanfest stream, its a good change from all the sober facts. If you dont like em you can just mute it. But, i'm sure theres more people who enjoyed the crazyness, then not

Besides, this is the internet. If you think you're going to force absolutely everyone into your archaic standards then you're fooling yourself.

Also: Did you notice that if you type **** too many times in a row, the censor thing glitches and stops working? It would be be tragic if us goons started a AAAAAA chain, only, er... Well, "**** Chain" sounds horrible. Pottymouth Chain?

Watching eve tv, the CSM part, with certain people remarking OVER AND OVER F*** this, F***ing that, I really have had enough of the verbal diarrhoea.

If you have such ABYSMAL self esteem, that you need to curse so that people think you're cool, it's actually the other way around, you're making disgrace of yourself and people will like you less, if at all.

Other than that, Keynote yesterday looked awesome Cool

**** you man.

The majority of the population doesn't look at the 4-letter words the same as some of you christian-types. To most of us its no different then any other cuss-free insult

You've chosen to insult people who do use 4 letter words. The mature thing would be to NOT insult them while trying to form a valid case against using cusswords on the stream.

4-letter-word or not, you're no different then them.

i find it funny that you automaticly assume that they guy is christian just because he doesnt like folks swearing on the feed its very narrow minded, there are other people who are not christian who dont like folks swearing who are not christian.

i personaly dont mind the occasional swear word being said, though when people use it in excess in every other word i agree it does not reflect very well on there character.

Back in the 'olden days, the words "dang" or "hek" use to be considered inappropriate to speak in public. Standards change over time. Who knows what the future holds for swear words? Maybe the F-word would someday be dropped from our vocabulary and would be replaced by the word "Frakk" in honor of BSG?

FYI, alot of non-native english speaking people have english words so integrated in their daily life that they're not even considered curse words. Where I come from we say '****' instead of 'whoops', and '****' is just a stronger option of the same, and noone will even react if you just say it wherever, whenever.

Then you compare that to some of my british friends, who get seriously upset if I say "that is ********". Supposedly ********, which I believed to be a medical condition and nothing really serious, turns out to be a very very naughty words in their area. Not to mention the stream is live, and it's your average multicultural player, not some purely british speaking TV presenter with a multimillion national crowd.

TL;DR in multicultural, live, streams with non-professionals/average Joe aired, you really expect your local 'rules' to be upheld? Then I want certain solar systems censored right away, it's really not good to have Hek (häck = ass) and Balle (****) next to eachother!!11!12!

Disagree. Some people just don't have a masterful command of a language, but they can still have some very insightful ideas, or be mathematical geniuses.

What words people use when they speak is absolutely irrelevant, except it makes those who wasted their lives broadening their vocabularies cringe.

When it all comes down to it, if an idea gets across, then I don't give a **** what words it took to do so. In all actuality, it usually ends up that those with the largest vocabularies CAN'T do this.

FREE SPEECH. BABABOOEY. If you are offended, its your fault.

In a game world primarily populated by escapists trying to establish a sense of dominion and power are you really surprised that they use excessive profanity given the oppertunity IRL?

I don't ******* cuss/curse to "look cool". It's a simple problem of habit and also it relives stress. Saying "gosh darn it!" Anit gonna cut it.

So **** you, and your donkey balls man; we're not in your house.

We can all agree though that brits/aussies have ****** out the word "****" though...Yes yes Americans use "mother ******" too much. No one's an angle in this thread folks.
