Thanks everyone that posted I went with a slightly cap stable megathorn which i got for a steal on the contracts. So i am happy and I am still putting out decent dps.

The Dominix is always, the answer the question doesnt matter!!!!!

You can fly Hyp, Mega or Rohk, but they're terrible in missions. You can forget to tank some of them with only 400 tank, if you have around 500 DPS from Rails.
The most versatile ship, where you can switch between DMG-Types is the Dominix.
