Hi.

Couple of questions in regards to manufacturing as It's been a while since I last played. Firstly, how does the job queue work? For example, I'm currently looking at an installation with 3 hours 10 minutes left. I then installed my own job on the installation, but the next free slot is still 3 hours 10 minutes. Surely that should be higher seeing as I just put my own job in to start after the current one is done? Also, what does "TTC" mean? It's listed under my pending jobs as 23 hours, and I have no idea what that's in regards to.

Thanks.

The installation probably had multiple slots avaiable.
I guess TTC = time to completion ?

Yeah, I already had a look at the manufacturing guide, doesn't really address my question. And what do you mean by multiple slots available? Every slot on the public station was in use, and my job is set to pending, or am I interpreting what you said wrong? :)

Thanks

Edit: Also, does pending mean my job has not even started yet? If it starts regardless then what you said is true. :) I just imagine "in progress" to mean it has in fact started, but my TCC going down would suggest otherwise.

Now I'm really confused. I just set up two jobs on the same install bench thing. Is that how it's supposed to be? If so, what's the point of having a "Next free time" indicator? Does it mean your job will be done but cannot be completed until a slot is free?

TTC is the time, from now, until your job completes. This includes the pending time, so it will drop.

When you set up a job, you specify which slot it's going to be in (by selecting it, and then using install job). If you didn't select the one with the lowest time, it won't be affected. They are ordered in the time till they're free, so if you install a job, it'll re-sort it, and move that slot down the list.

Woo! CSM XI!

Every slot is an assembly line.
One slot can be booked for weeks while the other one is empty.

Yeah my bad, I was mis-reading the station slots. It's been a while since I've played. :D

Thanks for the responses.

What it means with available slots is that within 3 hours a slot will be available.

You can install multiple jobs on one assembly line which will then execute those in consecutive order.

AND REMEMBER:

CANCELLING A JOB TAKING ONE WEEK IS STILL GOING TAKE THAT ONE WEEK FOR A SLOT TO BE AVAILABLE.
So cancelling your job after you make a mistake changes nothing so please do your research on manufacturing & research times before you click yes and reserve that slot.
