Have goons/test sent out an alliance mail to rally support for their juvenile leaders? Guys, they acted like kids touching alcohol for the first time, the entire alliance discussion was like watching 'that drunk kid at the wedding'. My feelings about the alliances are irrelevant, I understand it's like a drinking holiday, and if they were drunk and amusing it'd be fine, but they were drunk, and awkward and embarrassing and so reminiscent of being about 13. If you're a spaceship nerd, just don't touch the sauce, cos you look like a ****.

To all the lazy and impoverished in this thread who would like to have alcohol but believe they cannot because they only have food stamps, fear not! Alcohol can be made in your own home using simple household ingredients, many of which can be purchased using government issued food stamps.

Just take an old milk jug, fill it with juice concentrate, yeast, sugar, and water! Wait two weeks and you will have a nice wine that you can share with your friends! Thanks, government handouts!

I lol'd, there was few hilarious moments. But I did expected more diversity in event called alliance panel. After those anthems, panel turned focus on right side of the table with test, goons etc. I wanted to see more interesting stuff that I don't hear about very often, like wormholes and CEO's expiriences from those activities. I do respect culture of nullsec corps, I don't mind seeing them getting drunk if it is their way of enjoying eve and Reykjavik, as long it doesn't hurt anyone. But where are more of serious business players on that table?

Drunk, swearing, not taking a game seriously is fine. I see no issues with that, not my cup of tea but to each their own.
The issue I take with this was that the line between internet spaceships and real life has been crossed. It's one thing to be a jerk in the Eve Universe, it is cold and harsh after all. It's a completelt different thing to call for someones suicide on web TV watched by 1000s of viewers with the call for mass harrassment.

CCP should have stepped up to the plate and nipped that one in the bud, but they didn't. Everyone needs to remember that this game is rated T currently, which means that several people on these boards and in game are under the age of 18. No problem with that, but CCP needs to keep an eye on laws like the Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act (H.R. 1966) less they find their U.S. players no longer have the ability to connect.

Making fun of someones fitting is one thing. Mocking them because they are going through a tough period in life and then playing the Social Darwinism card is entirely another.

Internet spaceships is not serious, nor should it be. This is.

Why are they playing video games when they're going through a rough spot? Why not just man up and go deal with their problems in the real world instead of trying to escape into a fictional one.
