Looking for a trader partner

Hi all.

I'm running a manufacturing corporation and our production is ramping up rapidly at the moment, to the point that selling it all is going to be difficult soon.

I'm looking for a retailer so I can focus on the industrial side.

I produce near Jita, and I'm looking to do daily drop-offs so as to keep my capital busy. We have about 70 production slots going, for a sense of scale.

If you think you'd be interested, shoot me a mail and we can talk more.

This kind of thing is difficult and time-consuming for a trader to do. Having tried several times myself to do brokerage for various peeps, my experience is that it is not very profitable or much fun for the trader.

Not looking for brokerage, closer to a buyer. We decide what's worth making, I make it and sell it to you below market, you sell it at market, and we both take an agreed-upon level of profit out of it.

Since I can produce hundreds of an item at a time, even a relatively modest profit per item can benefit us both.

In the real World that would be a very good arrangement. The main problem in EVE is that there is no such thing as a stable market price. The prices change without warning - and in my experience that ruins it and leave the manufacturer and trader disappointed with the arrangement. The manufacturer wonders why the trader can't move volumes at predictable prices, and the trader starts to worry because his capital is being sucked into markets that he wouldn't want to trade at that time.

[Not that I wish to discourage you or a potential trader from taking up your offer, but I thought I would suggest why no experienced traders have taken you up on your offer so far.]

However, you say that you can be flexible and responsive - that might work, depending on how flexible is flexible.

I'm actually flooded with offers via mail. I don't know with how many I'll come to an agreement, but so far I've done one exchange.

Excellent/perfect, high run BPCs are available for the stuff I make, usually cheaply, and a BPO can often be made in just a few days. There's no billion ISK, many-week battleship BPOs in the mix.

I don't make what the trader doesn't want, that would be foolish. In order to make a deal we'd have to find a market we both agree on.

Speaking of blueprints, I should find someone who has them all...

I would be slightly curious to know what you're manufacturing, as the margins, even with cheap BPC's, are terribly low for most manufacturing. Coming to an arrengement with a trader to buy your stuff at an EVEN LOWER price just seems crazy to me.

I agree with the posters above

It is easier and for a market trader to tie his capital up in buy orders and sell to sell orders rather than directly from the manufacturer

It is also more advantageous for you to sell directly to sell orders rather than under sell order price as you weou

If you know your markets you can find sufficient margins. The opportunity cost of having money out in orders outweighs the lost margin; at a later date when we have way more money it might not make sense. I also can't easily access markets away from Jita while a trader is probably more suited to do so - so my volume could way more than double.

And the money's not all there is to it: there's aggravation to me for monitoring market orders, and that's the case for some traders as well. Buying in one bunch without competition and on a timeline one controls makes life easy. Selling in one bunch without competition and on a timeline I control helps as well.

And bump. Our slots graduate to Production Efficiency V today, and I think all of them are sitting empty :(

Anything worth building. We work with potential buyers to find items worth making, and then make them.

Mail me, I have no "requirements" as to what you produce. As you said, you're looking for a retailer and I don't care what the stuff is so long as there is a market to sell to. Smile

Just an update on this thread - I've been working with AS a couple weeks building stuff for the Jita markets. He's doing a good job and I've forwarded him 2 bil to cover his expenses for my next order. AS you should also update details of any other loans you've received before soliciting more contracts. Cool

Good idea.

So far Cyclone Solutions has received:

2B forward from Liberty Eternal
1B loan from Yarri Jiark

We're not willing to accept any new loans/forwards until the order with Liberty Eternal is complete, and at that stage we would discuss it with Yarri Jiark. As a result we're limited to our current capital and may not be able to do exceptionally large orders in the remaining space.

Its nice to see corps working together in contracts. Most corps try to do it all themselves (the mineral acquistion, manufacturing, and marketing) from top to bottom. Having business interactions between corporations is more interesting IMHO.

Hope your ventures continue to be successful.

Agreed. Had I just a bit more capital myself, I probably would be interested in this type of arrangement. I think I might look into this in the future once I have a little bit more cash I can spare from my trade. :)

I'd be happy to do some business with you. I'll be looking for large and preferably recurring orders with exclusivity deals on selected modules. I'll contact you in-game when I get a chance.

If you are still looking for buyers to take orders of your goods, I am most surely interested.

Please send me an evemail with a sampling of items and prices.
