I had also expected the CCP to come to their senses around this time to try saving a dying game... looks like (just maybe) its happening earlier than expected.

at some point all the old crufty code starts to catch up with you, the average gamer's expectations rgd game mechanics have evolved (try to sell a UO-like game in today's market), ... and it becomes just easier to start a rewrite than fix.

And when was the last time they did any of this? (Their idea of content with no gameplay value whatsoever like Incarna and PI doesn't count OFC). They do fix some bugs but seems to introduce new ones pretty fast too (ammo change anyone)
