I just read this news on a website i frequently visit that has news regarding Onlive. Here is the article:

Quote:
According to Eurogamer, game publisher CCP Games is talking to OnLive about bringing some of their game titles to the service.

This means we may see Eve Online released on the OnLive cloud gaming service, sometime in the future.
David Reid, the chief marketing officer at CCP had this to say in a recent interview with Eurogamer:
“We think it’s a really important way to not just play the core Eve Online gameplay, that you do play today principally on the PC and on the Mac. but also to add new sorts of experiences – when you think about Planetary Interaction in Eve Online right?”

Currently Eve Online uses this “Planetary Interaction” system to let gamers harvest minerals from planets and then sell them to other players. If the game were to make it to OnLive, gamers will probably be able to play Eve Online without the use of this service.

Reid said that CCP is currently in discussions with OnLive as well as other companies about possibly bringing their games to the cloud.

If Eve Online made it to OnLive, that means that gamers would be able to play not only on their PCs but also on their TVs, tablets and even smartphones.

What do you guys think about that? Is this something you would consider using? I personally welcome it. The pc that i currently have has limited capacity so i have to play the game at the lowest settings, and even than it doesn't always work. Onlive would solve those problems, since they have large servers running that can render everything.

I dont know if this is important or not, but i have chickens.....

So you pay just as much or even more to play a game where you don't even have full access to everything?

Sooo, if EVE goes to OnLive, PI will cease to function? This article makes no sense.

Well i don't know the details, but it could be that Onlive will be offering a deal. Right now they already have a playpass that will let you play more than 150 games for only $10 per month. And those are not just crappy games, Mafia 2, Borderlands, Batman: arkham asylum and others are in that package too. Maybe they will add EVE Online to that long list of games too.
