As the CSM 7 elections close I want to congratulate everyone that ran!

It was every bit as interesting election as I expected and enjoyed it all.

So see you all on the other side of the announcements!

I think the pilots of Eve should end up with a very good CSM 7.

Woot!!!

And its over!!!

Would love to be at fanfest to see how it all turned out!!

To each candidate! Well done!!! I know you all put your best effort into whatever it was you hoped to accomplish.

The CSM matters! Not only to the players that see how player representation can improve the 'verse but to the folks that turn it into the RP theater of the dark and cold place the Eve is, the diversity of views and that even the CSM is a form of PvP.

So to the folks that got more votes to me well played! For some it was a walk in the park having already started with a guarantied seat to others that fought hard for every voted, made incredibly prepared materials to share your ideas and even when it needed to happen got out there kissed the space babies and shook the pod interfaces first person in game.

I want to thank everyone that participated in my efforts, both supporters and detractors. You made it an experience to remember! To the supporters, I hope your support pays off and I can help make the miner's life in Eve better as pat of the CSM 7. I will continue the fight for miners no matter the outcome.

The the detractors, some of you were pretty clever and amusing. I learned a lot about what makes some of you tick.

To the winners, stay true to who you claimed to be, remember the folks that got you there and that you owe them a serious effort to deliver on your promises! I probably don't have to say that because I think the quality of the candidates was outstanding and this CSM will be better than any that came before it.

To the folks that don't make the slate, keep at it, there is next year. If this CSM was worth the effort the next CSM will be even more rewarding to be a part of.

So congrats to everyone that ran, we all won no matter that the votes say!

Maybe it's because I'm being far more literal than is called for by the medium of discussion, but I am sincerely confused as to why exactly you are congratulating all of those who ran for CSM7. Are you of the opinion that running for CSM7 is, by and of itself, an accomplishment? The only requirements to become an official candidate are a photo of your passport, and that you make a thread in Jita Park. That's it. You didn't have to be good at slangin' words; you didn't have to have a coherent platform; you didn't have to be even remotely electable, because as soon as your thread hit the forums "certain people" were happy to click "like," because doing so flooded the ballot and further split the already fractious public vote.

I think most of the folks that ran were genuinely interested in make Eve a better place. Many candidate put a lot of work in the efforts to be elected and deserve to be thanked for that effort.

I suppose I could have gone though the entire list of folks that ran and selectively thanked folks I felt took the election seriously and made an effort, but I didn't see the point in that.

If some of the candidates don't feel the deserve the congratulations please feel free to ignore this thread. Smile

And THAT is exactly why he is a bad choice for the CSM.

It's not about Mittens winning but about EVE winning.

I love spotting unintelligent people by their need to capitalise words for emphasis instead of relying on word choice and sentence structure.

It's a pretty good game to play around here :)

I love spotting anal Goons with make no real commentary value, yet who like to think they are clever by ignoring the actual points made in a discussion.

Always seems an interesting value system by the Goons that text is more important than context. And in this case where there is simply a use of capitalisation for emphasis used is just an absurdly obtuse objection as a language consideration. Blink

And why do you think those two are exclusive?

As i see, if your candidate is winning, then the game is winning as well. Assuming he is willing to do his work as CSM for the benefit of the game.

If your candidate is winning with a lot of votes after him, then its even better, it gives candidates weight. CCP cannot just ignore CSM if they are backed by large part of player base.

If you dislike our candidate so much, maybe you should run next time. Or put some effort into making high-sec players to actually vote.
