Here are the fits im looking at for lvl 4 mission boats. Shocked This is mostly in gurista Space but the harders can be change for who ever Im fighting. Please let me know which you think would work the best.

I have tech 2 drones ( all but heavies)

The Hyp isn't terrible. On the Mega, drop a cap recharger for a TC at the very least.

For Guristas -- especially on the armor tanks -- don't bother with a specific thermal hardener. You're better off with another kinetic.

If it were me, I'd change direction and look at cap injected fits with an AB. If you're trying to do it without faction anything it looks like this:

OK thank you may ask the advantages of your fit ? I didnt really thin a tracking computer was needed since the ship gets a bonus to tracking? I like the idea of an afterburner but I usally dont use cap boostersnever really got the hang of them. I guess I should mention I usually run these with a corpie who flies a tengu.

this forum is evenly devided between mach and tengu with an occasional sprinkle of drake, loki or nightmare. dealwithit.gif

P.S.: i don't fly machariel myself because it looks ugly with that dysfunctional extra engine.

TCs can either extend your optimal/falloff or your tracking or both. You should always carry both scripts for all fitted TCs. On a ship like the Mega with a tracking bonus, you can keep one of them range scripted for longer, which extends your effective engagement range with any given ammunition.

A Mega with Javelin (understanding you don't have T2 rails yet, but you will) and two tracking scripted TCs gets silly .036 tracking, which is almost as good as an unmodified megapulse. On the other side, you can swap to antimatter and change out both scripts to get 47+49 with high damage ammunition. So it's just a matter of increasing your versatility.

As for using cap boosters.... Your call, but you're devoting a huge number of slots to cap and they can really be better used. You're not running something with high enough damage output to be radically unstable (Machariel....) so you want some cap, but you don't want to devote all your slots to it. This is how you get around it.

I see your point on the cap boosters I may have try it out again. I am just so use to running with ccc rigs and cap rechargers that it seems scary to try anything else. I think im actually goin to go with the hyperion I like the haul alittle better on it. But I will use your mega fit for a reference. Do you have a hyperion fit you would suggest and thank you for your answers you have been most helpful.

I tried a rokh once, didn't work that great. But I did get better applied damage with 350's and 2 x TE and 3 x Mag stabs in the low.

The targeting system subcontroller is just to lock a bit faster, which is a fairly marginal benefit. The ionic field projector is much more useful, extending your lock range out to almost 94km (from 75km), which will let you pop things at much more range.

If you drop to a T2 LAR, you're looking at dropping both for another ACR and an algid hybrid administration unit to keep your CPU in check. This likely isn't a problem with meta 4 guns, but as soon as you can you're going to want the T2 guns in order to use Javelin up close. Javelin with three TCs will get your tracking into the same ballpark as the Mega, while your antimatter range is actually a bit better.

First, I'd like to say I like cap stability and I don't give a dam what other people think, this is my EVE and this is how I swing it Big smile

My Gal pilot, he has BS 4 and all gunnery support skills at 4 and is currently training Large Hybrid 5 for T2s. I plugged the fits into EVEHQ and here's what I came up with.

EVEHQ is saying cap stable at 35%, with a 493dps tank against Guristas and a damage output of 447dps with guns alone. I can make the Mega put out a bit more damage when Drones are used but it has less tank so based on the numbers the Hype is the better choice.

I guess now is a good time to say that I don't actually fly Gal BS's and I'm going solely on some EVEHQ warrioring. Were I to actually want to fly any of the ships mentioned in this thread, I would head over to SiSi and try them out there first as they can be assembled for less than 3000 isk. Cheaper to experiment and make mistakes there Cool
