If you did not like TEST/Goons presentation you simply don't understand EVE, or 0.0 at least. I would like see some high sec alliances give a power point... that would be a Tolstoy-esc yarn.

Fanfest is essentially one giant drinking party. How people did not see this one coming still baffles me.

Also, the first WH guy was so lame. The second WH guy with the ransoms was awesome. Now that's an interesting ransom!

Kesper really needed to shorten his presentation, Mittani was ok, Bolton was stumbling though it but hey...its a giant drinking party. What else can you expect?

Alliance Panel is highlight of the EVE calendar! (aside from maybe the alliance tournament and patch days)

this one was no exception, Laughing at the high sec carebear, Trolling everyone about Jove Space, alcohol, CSM chairman in a wizards hat, Come on. Do people really take their eve playing THAT Seriously?!!?

I'm sure the ending was pretty funny. If I too was a drunk frat kid doing Jäger watching gif videos on funny or die. Unfortunately I was sober. It was like a camera was turned on in some random pool hall. Nothing inherently wrong with the idiocracy, just not as a show.

There's a point beyond which a 'drinking party' stops becoming entertainment and starts becoming an embarassment.

It's not that we take the game too seriously, it's that drinking party or not, they're up there representing the EvE community -- and judging from the content of this thread so far, the representation many of them gave was 'the EvE community is full of drunken idiots'.

A drunk best friend that's trying to stick his head in a fishbowl is entertaining (sometimes hilarious). A drunk best friend that pukes all over your host's shoes, on the other hand, is embarassing. (And seriously -- mocking another country's national anthem is just shameful behavior. Come on, folks, we're better than that.)

Alliance Panel was awesome, and the fact that Mittens, DNSBLACK, and Michael BoltonIII apparently had made a drinking contest out of the previous presenters was, well, totally appropriate to the party that is fanfest.

Hell, I understand thats what serious, striaghtlaced business meetings are like in Iceland.
