In response to several posts, without quoting.

NPCs don't exploit, you could say they're a victim of a broken game mechanic as they don't have a choice.

Players that exploit do have a choice and choose to break the rules, so I don't have any sympathy for them.

The ban for exploiting is likely to be given per case rather than a set ban, so the judgement is likely to be left with CCP staff.

The bans for botting are set and have no need of judgement other than if they were botting or not.

I don't see the point of a 14 day ban, as they've taken the trouble to catch them. If CCP really wants to give botters a second chance then a 30 day first offence would be better and a second offence a perminent ban. Although botters know they should not be doing it in the first place. So CCP do they really need a second chance?

I dont think CCP gonna perma ban anyone. Since its pvp related ( not creating isk out of thin air like some exploits did ) and nobody told me that I need to go on the eveonline website on a regular basis to keep up with what is considered an exploit, I dont really think something gonna happen. Its just to scare everyone off.

In general, using a game mechanic in such a way when it is obvious that it was not intended to be used in such a manner, should give you your first clue. Then you check it out and report it (or report it as part of that check). You have a choice to report or abuse it, if you choose to abuse it you will put your account at risk.

What you say makes no sense. And that for several reasons. How I am supposed as Attacker to see why someone is not docking? I cant see his interface that says "cant abort warp". Its not about me. Its about the players that play the game without paying attention to the eve website. How should such a person know that this is a bad thing? He cant see that the JF pilot cant abort his warp.

In elite pvp if the guy says "please stop shooting, this is unfair" we stop shooting as clearly we don't want to be perm banned for discovering this CCP employees account has insider knowledge and can just pick up a elite phone contact to make us
"Disappear from Game". Now that's elite pvp

New maxim is "Don't undock with an account you can't afford to lose!"

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Exploiting should be ligther punished than botting. Botting should result in an insta perma ban, whilst exploit should be an easy warning,. 14 days second offence, 3'd strike perma ban.

What about:

1st exploit : 1/4th of the toon SP removed randomly

2nd exploit: half of the toon SP removed randomly

3rd exploit: because there are always stupid ones that like being spanked like little kids, remove all SP from the toon above 900sp and bring his wallet to 5K isk.

Now this is risk vs reward.
