I recently read an article stating that the reason why it was pushed back to 2013 from 2012 is because the execs absolutely loved what they had seen so far. This resulted in A LOT MORE money being injected into the series and further work done on the pilot. It also originally wasn't going to be full CG, and when that changed it meant tons more work.

While its good news that the network is taking it seriously, I'm still sceptic. It wouldnt be the first thing that got ended, oft on the basis of archaic measures of popularity Sad

It pisses me off that basically NBC/Universal/SyFy cut the reboot series short and then they greenlight all the spinoffs. Not that I don't like the spinoffs, I just wish the ending of BSG had not been so rushed.

Trailer is not bad, but the CG work needs....work.

Yeah its pretty rough... But I think that was one of the reasons they pulled it from youtube. It wasn't meant to be seen beyond the con where it recently aired.

Has promise though...

And I agree with you on the reboot.

I was only able to snag it because I still had the browser window open on another PC where I had loaded and watched the vid about 5 minutes prior to it being yanked off youtube.

I don't know how invested I'll be as I know how it ends and what happens forty years later. With the original series there was always the mystery about what happens next especially when Earth is apparently already destroyed.

In this case Good guys win, bad robots lose/leave thanks to a deal brokered with the earth cylons etc etc

Is it just gratuitous space battles all the time?

That's still worth watching.
