Hi all,

I am looking to get an alt started on Amarr missions and am wondering what would be the best ships to use for L1, 2, 3 and L4 missions. Got a lot of SPs in frigates, cruisers and BS 5 on the alt in Amarr ships so have no problems flying anything. Am starting to get gunnery skills though.

So what are some nice fits and ships for said missions?

If you're not afk'ing,

Paladin. Though you need your Marauders skill at IV as the damage bonus comes from this skill rather then BS V. If you are looking to blitz and not salvage, Nightmare.

Pre level 4's, just smash it with either a Sac or a Pilgrim.

In saying all his, obviously T2 drones are essential and get T2 guns ASAP. Until then, I did quiet well in just a Domi with Sentries, Amarr Drones for range/damage type

For lower level missions, an Arbitrator, then Harbinger/Absolution, then Navy Geddon, then Paladin/Nightmare. The Paladin is the L4 mission runner of choice in Amarr space - it does awesome damage and tanks very well against the most prevalent NPCs.

I am assuming you already have some decent skills since you have been around a while.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

For my L1-3s following the AF buff I adore my retribution. With the extra mid you can toss in a cap booster +prop mod and speed tank anything.

Get some cheap dedspace small reps and energized adaptive or faction resists to taste. Im on my phone so noyou limk, but its easy to get a two rep model that's stable with one rep running full time and lasts as long as your booster load with both reps.

The L3s are not the most efficient but easly more fun than running them in a "heavy" hull. Though legion can do L3 and 4s much the same way. But that's again fun not efficient.

L1-2 Retri, Lvl3 Zealot, Lvl4 Pali

However you say ammar missions and that is also things like Angels and whatnot... Vargur is also a good option for amar 4s...

If you want to do it like a pro you should use Paladin and Vargur depending on mission.

Sansha , Blood , Galente , Drones =Paladin
Angels , Minmatar = Vargur

Guristas , Serpentis = Both

In my opinion missions against Sansha , Blood , Galente , Angels and Minmatar are the only ones worth doing.

This is my personal fit when I used to run missions , nice Alpha , good dps , excellent tank .

I have used similar fit , fantastic against Angels and the only time I had to run Shield booster for more than a minute was in AE bonus room.

I'm assuming you want to grind all the way to level 4's as quickly as possible
for max ISK/hour.

Lv 1's: An imperial navy slicer or any assault frigate should run these the fastest.
With your skills these will be easy and quick because the connections skill bonus
should get you to level 2's in no time.

Lv 2's: If your gunnery skills are terrible use an arbitrator, but once you have decent laser
skills fit beams on a zealot or omen navy issue. These missions will be easy when you
fit mission specific hardners. This grind will be the longest, so you want to run these very
quickly and definately with an afterburner.

Lv 3's: Tricky as you can continue using your zealot or omen navy issue, but you may want
to upgrade to a beam fitted harbinger if you are having trouble killing rats. If you run into a
particualry hard mission swap to a battleship.

Lv 4's: Your endgame should be a Tachyon fitted Nightmare or Paladin. You want the Nightmare
if you intend to salvage after missions with a Noctis, but it is important to remember that a Nightmare
is shield tanked so if your shield tanking skills are lacking a Paladin might be the better choice. If you
are not rich or skilled enough for these ships consider fitting either a Pulse fitted Apocalypse or a Pusle
fitted Abbadon. Fitting Tachs on these are difficult due to powergrid issues. With the abbadon you will also
have range and cap acitor issues but have more in terms of raw gank and tank.

Here is the best cheap (compartively) Mission Nightmare fitting I've seen.

It depends on what you're trying to do.

If you looking to kill ALLTHETHINGS~~~~ the Paladin and Dominix Navy are two of the better ships. They have completely different flying styles, as the Domi can be flown semi-AFK and the Paladin requires more micromanagement if you're trying to loot the mission and kill the things at the same time.

If you're just looking at blitzing the missions for LP, the best ship hands down is the Machariel.

Paladin, Navy Geddon, Nightmare. I see others have said the same. It's almost as if there's a consensus.

Pally for salvaging high-value wrecks on the fly without having to re-ship or run an alt, Geddon for raw completion speed, Nightmare for speed+bling.

Having used one in Amarr space with Amarr agents imho Nightmare is fantastic - the fit above is ok but I would dump out all those cap rechargers/cap power relays/CCC's for a cap booster then you can fit rigs for damage and mids and lows for tracking comps and tracking enhancers. Pimp out with Navy heatsinks and CN invuls x 2 if ya like and a deadspace booster.....maybe not 'cos of Piwates Roll

However you won't need to boost the shields much as with decent skills and IN multi's you're hitting at 45km optimal and 44km falloff (IN Standard your optimal is 89km).....with IN multi's your getting 891 turret dps - add your drones and over 1k dps.....this thing eats through sansha and blood rats....i used a CNR (as I trained initially for a Golem) against em/therm strong opponents.....but would recommend a mach when you have the skill and isk to buy and fit correctly as it's just...more fun...and a better ship although it eats ammo cutting down on your efficiency....i don't give a crap as fun is better than efficiency at that level imho.
