Is Nullsec really where it's at? The PL Titan kill.

Yeah, the whole thing breaks down into pure theorycrafting as numbers increase. Seleene and other prominent capital commanders warned of the current situation back when Mom's came into being and Titans got directional DD .. think it was only CCP who were blind enough not to see that Titans would number in the hundreds and Moms/SCs in the thousands.

Question is what can reasonably be done at this late stage. Would prefer that they remain utterly OP, but have the places/times where they would be of use/pivotal severely limited just as the behemoth warships of the real world .. the Bismarck for instance was a nasty piece of work but had only a very, very narrow niche which it in turn dominated without fail.

Side note: Wonder why the Republic and other empires allow null warmongers to jump super-capitals in willy-nilly with no repercussions. Should be some serious drawbacks to violating Empire space, something like do it twice and you are -8 with the faction in question, denied docking within their borders and get your code transmission scrambled (ie. can't enter a POS).
Hopefully CCP makes the standings system (they are still planning on revamping it Soon™, right?) fluid enough to allow for some fancy **** like that in the fullness of time.

First off, I have been following these threads since I got back from vaca, and I would like to say congrats to sotf and w-br for pulling this off.

There is a lot of focus on this thread from fw-ers about knowing how to do nullsec better than the people who have lived there for ages. I have no idea why this is even a discussion, let alone a discussion in this thread. If you knew better I am sure you would be down there .

To the original topic, I would say its not so much a thought of where “real pvp” is at (because we should all know it just comes in different flavors) but more about the circumstances that allowed this to happen without any real repercussions. Most dedicated null dwellers have little to no interest in low sec pvp for a number of reasons, the most of which are the change in the mechanics and gameplay. I find it VERY interesting that there was no backlash from this, simply a gf and moving on.

<- single account player. Now you all know one more. 0.0 or low sec, its all the same. Low sec has more traffic though, so I think that makes it better for us I JUST WANT TO SHOOT STUFF type people!

I'll see you there!

Problem with a dread swarm is range and subcaps and remote rep.

A sizeable subcap fleet will eat dreads pretty fast and supers can easily cyno in on a spot well out of dread range but able to apply their dps.

And because of the siege the dreads can't rep.

Dreads need to come in pointblank and unload, for the rest they're only useful at shooting posses.

Confirming that I went to 0.0 with SOTF and accomplished the following:

1) trolled French FCs on comms
2) Shot Russian pos
3) Repaired pos from Russians
4) Jumped back and forth through jump bridges in a carrier to waste fuel
5) Built a station and then bailed.

That is all.
