Rock Paper Scissors, Titan, Dread. (New resist type for titans)

Just an idea that popped into my head to help with the Titan issues of killing the Titan blob/Titan proliferation.

How about adding a 5th resist type to Titan only. Call it Tectuml Composes or what ever. Now here is the smart bit (I Hope). The only ammo type that can hit that type of resist is a new dreadnought sedge ammo Tectuml Composes. If done right, Dreadnought would get a buff against Titans without buffing dreadnought to anything else. This would also leave Titans to be as hardcore as they are now. But would now have to fear a fleet fielding 2 or 3 dreads (Where as right now they don't care until 30 or so Supers and dreads are on grid).

My numbers are ruff. So don't flame me to much.

I think that your idea is a very inelegant approach to the problem. But you are thinking along the right lines.

I think that a far better and more elegant answer is to add another attribute to capital ships and their weapons. Something similar to signature, but named something different and spacey.

It works the same way as sig does for regular ships and regular guns, scaling damage across capital hulls, but upwards not downwards and it only activates in siege mode. We also reduce base dread damage by half.

The new sig thing means that against dreads, carriers and POS, capital guns do 200% of their paper DPS (which would equal their current paper dps). Against mother ships, they get 300% and against titans they do 450%.

This reduces the ability for dreads to shoot sub-caps (due to reduced paper dps), keeping them balanced against normal caps, and radically improving them against supers. Titans don't get to use this, so they are stuck at using their obviously impressive paper dps, but no more.

The key is that each dread (roughly) puts out 25k dps, meaning that to keep a titan alive under fire, you need 1 carrier in triage per dread attacking, rather than 1 triage for every 2 dreads.

Actually, I am all for bringing Titans back to their glory of AoE DD goodness + single target DD + fast tracking guns and Super Carriers with Fighter Bombers that can track sub cap ships while all super caps still have their additional 20% hitpoints and small drones (lets not forget, their awesome immunity to EWAR Blink).

Yeah, all the losers should lose hard, whine, *****, whine some more, lose, lose again, bitchwhine and keep losing until they to bring a cap ship to the fight instead crappy sub cap ships...EVE isn't fair chumps and your whining when you get popped by a Titan XL gun proves that fact...it wasn't fair that you are so dumb a guy could beat you with a BFG with a thin tank (cause that was an awesome "Adapt or Die" strategy) but the best you could muster was a whine to fix the problem when you could not step into a cap ship.

Note: I don't fly cap ships. Just like seeing whining from dudes who can't HTFU when they lose and these same dudes also spout HTFU to carebears when they lose... cause EVE is harsh and it isn't fair when you lose to your own stupid mistakes but you belive it was the Titan pilot's fault you lost (like bringing crappy ships to a cap fight was a good idea...duh! it wasn't)
