Last year, myself and a bunch of the Michigan EVE players met up at an applebees up in flint. We joked about the security status of the region (flint proper is definately a 0.0 city!); so let's extend that here!

I'm between Ann Arbor (0.8) and Detroit (Nullsec). How aboot the rest of you?

Live in the high sec part of Long Island, NY (0.9), but commute to Manhattan (low sec). Manhattan's really pretty high sec in terms of crime, but it's low sec in terms of random danger. Drivers pushing through crosswalks, every kind of insane person walking around, collapsing cranes, random falling objects, gas main explosions, flying manhole covers, occasional clouds of mysterious chemical smells, etc.

I live in the Vancouver area. My commute goes somewhere from 0.6 to 0.9 to 0.6 again. It used to go through Surrey, which at times is pretty much Null-Sec.

Small town in southern Sweden, guess it's like your typical 0.7-0.9 backwater system.

Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

1.0 easily

Within a 15 minute walking radius I have:

3 x Hospitals
1 x Central Police Station
Countywide Fire & Rescue Headquarters
3 x Train Stations
1 x Major Bus station

∞ x every single major retail shop, including an Apple store
1 x mega-super-duper-delux cinema complex, with real popcorn - and a krispy kreme store
6 x Museums and Art Galleries
1 x Theatre

4 x Casinos
5 x Strip Bars
siro 50 x night clubs
Every single type of restaurant you can imagine. Even that one.

However....

Once I use my feet to walk longer than 15 minutes, I can easily stumble into low sec, where I can be propositioned, offer drugs, mugged, beaten...children no longer respect their elders.
Some sides of the streets even have gate camps and the signs in the shop windows are written by hand, and normally say: 'we prosecute thieves'.

People no longer look you in the eye.

Where I live now, Eastleigh, a small market town in the south of England, I would give it a 0.8. It has one of the lowest crime rates in the UK.

However, my old home, in an estate called "Bransholme" up in Hull, is most definately low sec, probably 0.3

Right now I am 42 miles north of Seattle and was actually thinking about this very topic last night.

After some consideration, considering police response times and the criminal activity in the area that I know of, I live in a .4 system.

Middlesbrough, North-East England, is proper low-sec.

It has got a crime rate twice as high as the national average. You find CCTV outside and inside of houses. Some shops like TESCO have their own security guards. Half of the youth has got a criminal record. The police sirens can be heard all day round. A neighbour of mine is on the cover of a police brochure on anti-social behaviour. ... I myself put one guy into prison for robbing me, another I put in front of a judge for punching me in the face right at my front door. The town's motto is "Moving forward" and it sure is not a boring place to live at. It is one hell of a town.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.
