I am right now working on integration the new data dump into my database

On update my tables I've got to find some discrepancies

'Assault Missile Launcher I' is called 'Rapid Light Missile Launcher I' in the Wiki called 'Light Missile Array I
'Siege Missile Launcher I' is called 'Torpedo Launcher I

But in game they have their old name

Source from EveWiki

Edit:

There is no Blueprint for the 'Discovery Survey Probe I' anymore - > but this is true for the in game item also (at least in the market).

Confirming this.

The discrepancies revolve around proposed changes to missiles which were never implemented in Crucible 1.5. As far as I can tell, missile launchers, missiles and even some skills are incorrectly named in the new static data dump.

Trauma missiles have been renamed back to Scourge as well.

CCP,

Going forward please release the dumps before you release a patch. Give us 24-48 hours to mill through the data in order to help you fix your errors.

Many 3rd party apps break every time you release a patch/database dump like this due to poor QA.

Bumping this because half of my killmails aren't scraping from the API and battleclinic/eve-kill are rejecting them outright if I manually post them.

Driving me crazy.

Also bump

EDIT:
Now that I've finished throwing a few hours into all this crap regarding item name changes (a portion of which are incorrect considering actual in-game data) in various databases I felt the need to elaborate further on the reasoning behind the above bump
CCP, either invest money/effort yourselves towards making sure **** isn't broken before leaving the shelf or spread it out early so consumers will do it for you (win win situation? you'd get cheap labor and we'd get to prepare for breaking changes early)

5 days later & no CCP reply? Guess they are hanging out in the more popular forums.

The linked thread seems to be unrelated to this particular issue. Or am I missing something?

There a discussion is ongoing regarding item deletion (removal from the game, both the physical (lol) in-game item and invTypes reference from the data dump)

The criteria was basically that anything that should never have been legitimately in player possession, wasn't a current testing/GM tool, and wasn't likely to be made available in the immediate future, was flagged for deletion. We ended up deleting 1031 types, out of a total of 11430.
...
This here, however, is a case of the items still existing in the game (and also in the data dump) but having invalid typeNames (not consistent with actual typeNames inside the game).

Example: The data dump thinks the item "Siege Missile Launcher II" is supposed to be named "Torpedo Launcher II" instead. This is incorrect as the in-game name of the item is still "Siege Missile Launcher II". Name changes like this seem to have made it into the data dump (mistakenly) but not actually to the game - thus breaking any killmails or fitting exports from the game which should include any of these items.

As I have already posted elsewhere, with FF approaching don't expect any fix soon. The best ETA is after Fools-day.

I'm missing a blueprint insofar there is a relation.

Also, datadump still has the old implant names? Or are these in fact the new ones and we've still got the old ones in game??

I've raised this with the right devs, and it has been defected, but it won't be fixed until the release on March 28th unfortunately. We will be fixing the problem that caused this though, so it shouldn't happen again. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

If you're using EDK or anything with a reasonably defined database you could adapt this script to update the names to what the live database is using:

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=81850

All typeNames are pulled directly through the API.
