Awful download speed since launcher is released. plz CCP Navigator, dont go away.

Hi,

title says it all. The 12mb today needed close to 30min to download while before the launcher it would be done in 30secs. Nothing changed on my my end, same comp, same router, same settings, same connection/contract.

Anyone else faceing equal problems ?

Yeah, same problem for me, and I have a 100MB connection.

Nope - about 45 seconds with my 1.1 Mbps connection.

I'm more concerned with the fact that since the update I get kicked out of game after three minutes. Log straight back on get kicked again. Tried reboot PC doesn't work. Anyone else having similar?

W7, latest patch, 32mb internet connection, everything up to date.

Got that low download speed problem only downloading EVE patches since the launcher was introduced.

And to make it more clear: My daily dose of Pr0n downloads running in as fast as usual so its defo launcher related.

After reading this I just Dld the patch, took 37 seconds on a 30mb wireless connection.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

Whole patch took me 8 seconds.

Perhaps there is an issue with your route to the DL server?

Who needs that logs in launcher cache folder anyway? "Nothing is working". Go figure!

As others have said, no problem here.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

same today, 3.6mb took over 10min to download. Log reports send to CCP

I've had the same problem with the few latest patches too. Once the game launches, I have no problems, no lag or anything.

edit: just downloaded the latest patch and I had no problems. Go figure

Yes its a nightmare. just takes ages to patch anything Evil

It was slow at the start for me, but it's working fine now tho. Just wish it would update my clients automatically when my computer starts without having to actually open the bloody thing.

I have noted significantly slower downloads of patches since the launcher's release, but not so extreme as the OP.

using windows xp on a 100mb connection

Todays patch took... 6 minutes. moving painfully slowly for 5 minutes and a bit (0.1% increments), and then shooting to completion.

Out of interest, is it the calculating patch part that is slow or the download itself? If you have an old and slow hdd I can understand why the new launcher is slower. With ssd fitted computers part 1 and 3 of the patching is really quick.
