I believe that CCP should favor iteration of existing content over new content but not necessarily strongly favor it. New content is what keeps this game fresh and on top of things. Without new content EvE will grow stagnant and new subscribers will dwindle. Yes...please fix the broken stuff. Please further develope and balance current mechanics and content but do not stop introducing new things and new content.

Either way +1.

A war that would’ve involved 20,000 players, 75% of nullsec space, and hundreds of supercapitals was halted not by diplomacy, but by a game mechanic so dreadful that those who have experienced it previously have no desire to do so again. - Fix POS & SOV

Elements of the past and the future combining to make something not quite as good as either.

Hmm .. all those ones added up to 255 as of previous post ... I guess that means it'll happen given the connotation of 255.

While CSM is pleased that CCP is refocusing their development efforts, we have grave concerns about how CCP development will be reprioritized.

The following is our statement of position. If you agree with it, please both "like" this post and reply in this thread with a "+1". To keep the thread clear, please use this companion thread for discussions about this statement.

The CSM believes that:

* CCP should significantly increase the development resources being dedicated to Flying-in-Space (FiS).

* CCP should strongly favor iteration of existing game content over shiny new content.

* Any new content should be directly related to providing support for iteration of existing content. For example (this is not a proposal, just an example for illustration purposes), an expansion of space could be used to provide opportunities for small sovholding, and materials for new POS structures and manufacturing.

* The "little things" and Team Gridlock initiatives should receive additional resources.

* CCP should listen to the wishes of the community, who have repeatedly indicated which issues are most important to them via crowdsourcing.

It is the strong belief of the CSM that if CCP refocuses their efforts on delivering what the community wants, they will be able to regain the faith and trust of the community, and subscriber numbers will resume their steady growth.

Sincerely,
The members of the 6th Council of Stellar Management

Here's the deal. They've already implemented Incarna in an incomplete form. My personal opinion says they need to FINISH it.

If they don't, then Incarna joins the other expansions as a half-assed implementation. Do we want that, and further erode our faith in CCP's ability to deliver a full plate?

Here's what I feel should be done with the reprioritization: Finish Incarna, then Implement new Plan for FiS.

P.S. I am supportive of the CSM's position, but I feel they should not force CCP to "drop everything" and shift gears all of a sudden without finishing what they are working on. It's called "Following Through On Your Commitments". They committed to Incarna by launching it - thus, it is on them to FINISH Incarna.
