Sansha's plexes worth running?

Just a question regarding sansha's plexes..

I'm currently in guri space where the plexes are pretty good, but am moving out. How do Sansha's plexes compare and are they worth running? I'm not talking anoms, just plexes.

Also, I'm running guri stuff in an Ishtar, what would be the sansha's equivalent? I know the t3's do well but the Ishtar is very cost effective and I'm looking for the same vs sansha.

Thanks.

Hi there,

I just went on an expedition through sinq laison, essence and kador? I think and have a few thoughts. I too fly an ishtar since it worked so well in caldari space vs guristas. It works fine for serpentis, and if you're careful will work vs em based rats. Im running passive shield tank so em is my weakest, but it can still handle blood raider 4/10s as long as i dont let myself get horribly neuted. Since sansha is fairly similar to blood raider you should be able to handle them just fine.

You may find that high sec plexes for non shield based rats are not quite as profitable as their guristas counterparts. Even with all the competition in caldari space the pithi and pithum drops have netted me a lot more cash than serpentis/blood raider so far. True Sansha stuff is higher meta though typically. If nothing else there is MUCH less competition for these plexes so maybe you'll get lucky.

Plexes of any race come in a variety of difficulties.

Really depends what type and where you are running these.
If you using an Ishtar I suspect its probably the lower end to mid range plexes.

For anything highend will require something with high natural EM/Therm resists "Munnin or similar".
Or you can use Domi for instance with logi.

I should've specified - my bad..

The guri plexes I run are in 0.0 and I run pretty much everything except the 10/10.

How does the muninn compare to the ishtar for 0.0 plexes, and are the sansha 0.0 plexes worth it for the loot? I read somewhere their drops aren't that great, but never got anything confirmed?

Thanks..

The main difference is that the armor modules aren't worth as much, but there's typically less competition too; there also seem to be more variety of armor mods to drop. So, you end up with fewer major drops, but more drops in general. That was my experience atleast, YMMV.

I had an armor rep drop in provi from a 6/10 woth 1 bil and a NM BPC from another.. not sure if you consider that "not worth much"

"Not worth much" != "Not worth as much".

For instance:
Centum A-Type Medium Armor Repper, 450M
Pithum A-Type Medium Shield Booster, 1.15B

See, not as much for the equivalently sized module. Oh, and there are no Sansha armor reps selling for 1B, and certainly not the A-Type med ones that should be dropping from 6/10s, I think you're remembering wrong (or it was long ago and the market has changed since then).

A-type Energized adaptive plates that drop from 6/10s are over a bill afaik, just takes a bit of luck to get one of the resist all ones, and not one of the crappy single resist plates.

Oh well. I am atm in Derelik and hunting down PLEX - RAD - MAG - WH in both low and hisec.

2 weeks brought me about 9 items, plex and faction, while not playing excessively.

Market value according to today 10 AM CET 500 Million in Loot, 400 Million in non market items, 400 Million in research and salvage, prices from Amarr. Hours invested about 60 to 65 hrs.

Overall not very much success, but also not very bad, id say average.

Bad thing - lost a HAC yesterday, due to some situation, that was not mentioned in any spoiler, and probably also will not be mentioned. Dont tell me i should reveal all infos, i wont give more than this.

I followed an expedition. In the last escalation the fight was finished and won by me. I was already salvaging and looting.More than 30 mins after the last fight all of a sudden a NPC battlefleet jumped in. More than 8 Battlehips, 1 thing bigger than battleship, lots of cruisers, even more frigs with lots of Elite. I saw at least 6 or even 8 faction ships and 1 named mob. My HAC was down in less than 10 secs. No chance for a warp at all. Shield was gone in first volley, leaving me back with 80% armor. 2 more volleys and HAC down.

This happened in Highsec. My Orca made it out with a lot of luck. When i came back with my battleship and a logistic, the fleet was gone, and the wreck of my HAC was drifting between the few wrecks from the battle before the fleet appeared. Im a bit pissed, cause of the loss, which will easily be compensated by the items in my Orca.

Still, this fleet was far out of everything i ever saw. A bit oversized for a very simple expedition up to that point from a scanned hisec DED3 plex. Which is proof, that exploring brings a lot of adventures up.

Next time, i am prepared.

Cheers

Sounds like Jet-Set Hooligans, but Derelik isn't a Serpentis region... :S

It wasn't a DED3 plex. Those do not escalate to expeditions. More than likely it was a Watch.
