As the subject indicates. When I launch the game from the launcher, my screen remains black (I do hear the sounds of the client), my screens (I have two monitors) begin to flicker. After this, both turn black, then return to normal. I am then prompted with a message that my graphics driver crashed and had to be restarted.

I have checked the forums for this issue, and was only able to find a similar issue with Intel cards, which I do not have (NVidia GTX 260).

This issue only began once the 1.5 patch was applied to my client.

Things I've tried prior to posting:

 • Restart
 • Updated video driver to 296.10
 • Restarted again

Below is my dxdiag information, in the event that this assists:

I've been having this problem too ever since the patch. Any time I try to run more than 1 client my display driver will eventually crash and render my clients inoperable until I relog them. Running a Radeon 6950 with newest catalyst drivers.

Things are now worse. It does not appear to happen 100% of the time, but sometimes when the driver crashes, I start seeing artifacting on my monitors. I found that simply trying to move a window makes this occur at an alarming rate. This screenshot was taken after approximately 2 seconds of movement:

http://i.imgur.com/oXUyC.jpg

I've reviewed my system logs (amusingly enough, that's the window that's in the screenshot, if you an imagine it), and was not able to find anything of value (seriously, this is all I got: Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.).

I am able to regain use of my computer after restarting, however Eve is proving a near impossibility for me.

Any suggestions? I'd dearly like to be able to play again

Things you want to try :
1) check if other heavy graphics games give you similar issues.
2) check your interval settings for EVE, set interval to default/1 (60fps) or below.
3) clean and reseat your memory sticks. They warp over time due to heat, jarring the electrical contacts. Common cause of all sorts of freezing and wierd errors, especially if 1) is true and you've ruled out heat issues for the GPU.

Same identical issue here.

All other games are fine, I've only experienced this problem since the latest 1.5 patch. before this all was fine.

However I'm running a GTX560Ti and Nvidia Driver 295.73

System was cleaned and upgraded over a month ago with a new psu. no issues for over a month, no overclocking at present either.

Screen locks then goes black, both of my monitors flicker and then return to normal.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

i'll third that - really started happening today. I have an older video driver (GeForce 7600) but have been playing EVE without a lot of problems for a while - until now. Sticks are fine, system hardware is clean, and i updated the video driver just to make sure and keep up to date.

No dice.

Ive had multiple BSOD's since 1.5 patch i had never before

I get it mostly (before login screen pops up)when i start up a second or more clients

SYSTEM Service Exception
0x3B
Aati3duag.dll (11-3_xp64_dd_ccc_enu)

Windows Xp 64

google is pointing to bad memory ( i doubt it) or a faulty (video)hardware. I guess thats the one

lets see how thing go now :)

My client experiences freeze lags and eventual crashes.
It does not show itself while in station only after i have undocked and flown around for maybe 5min.

This is rendering the game unplayable and its highly annoying.

The patch did not help at all.

I've had similar issues with my system while running dual clients in fixed window mode. It has happened since Crucible 1.5, and has even caused a BSOD *AFTER* I had closed EVE. When looking into things, it seems as if something in EVE is causing my graphics card (ATi Radeon HD 5830) to go into low-power mode, and staying there until the drivers crash and reset. It only happens in EVE, other games are unaffected. It happens randomly after 30 minutes to 2 hours of play time. Have attempted with both Catalyst 11.12 and 12.2 (which broke Skyrim, so back to 11.12). This is rather annoying.
