Charity Dinner with CEO and Devs Question

Is this going to be casual or semi-formal?

If it's semi-formal I'd hate to show up in flip flops and a worn out shirt.

Given that it's in "one of Icelands finest restaurants" I would infer that pants and shoes would be expected :)

Last time I went there it was mainly men in trousers/smart jeans and semi-formal shirts. Nothing too over the top but I didn't see any flip flops.. although maybe you could start a new trend; flip flops and monocles!

Why didn't I think of that here I was trying to work a shirt in but a monocle nothing says you have class like a monocle

Hi there! Getting excited for Fanfest?

This is the first time we do a dinner like this that I remember of. It is in one of Iceland's finests restaurants so yes, you should dress as nice as possible. We however OWN the whole restaurant for an evening so there is basically not any dress code.Big smile It is up to you but personally I would do my finest.

Menu (could change):


  • Slow cooked salmon, cucumber, Icelandic seaweed, estragon, crutons


  • Panfried cod, carrotes, rye bread, citrus, potatos


  • Wood-roasted shoulder and prime rib of lamb, celleriac, grapes, almonds


  • Cream of baked white chocolate, walnut cake, strawberry ice cream, strawberries





BTW: Schedule is almost ready and will be uploaded very soon (Monday the latest) Smile

Welcome to Iceland!

You can come visit the HQ but I don't think you will make it further than the front desk but that might be worth the trouble.

It is close to Harpa and there are nice restaurants around (the small harbor area).

Cya around at Fanfest. I will be the guy talking on the walkie-talkie and mobile all the time, running around like a madman with 7x Quafe running through my veins Blink
