After almost three years, I'm finally done with this game. Nothing in particular, it's just gotten a bit old and predictable for me. Starting to feel more like a chore than a hobby.

CCP's done an excellent job getting this far, and I sincerely hope they continue to release more Crucible-esque expansions so that the game is just as awesome if I ever return.

Thank you to everyone involved in EVE, both the devs and the players, for making this possible. It's been an epic journey and I wish you all the best of luck.

And none of you can have my stuff, I already gave it away to friends/corpmates or pissed it away on PVP ships.

I just came back from a 2 year hiatus and I think it's done a world of good for me to do so. Not so much for my skills though but meh. I also found new excitement in doing something that I previously wouldn't dare think to do (would hate to lose those pixels after all).

Where ever you go I hope you enjoy your time there.

Why not wait to the big Inferno rebalance or resub and try it?

I only log on 2-5 times a month so I don't consider it a chore personally. Then again RvB helps a lot with that.

It isn't about the game balance - I'm actually quite pleased with the state of the game, barring a few exceptions (ECM, Angel ships). I love what they're planning on doing with Inferno, as well.

It's just that nothing feels fresh and exciting anymore, and I don't get much enjoyment out of it. Even small-scale PVP is coming across as a boring drag for me. I think I've just grown bitter Oops.

Who knows though, maybe I will resub someday in the distant future.

You don't sound bitter, mate, you just sound bored. Nothing wrong with that. Take a break and try some other stuff. I did that for 3 years, got a little better at guitar, tried some other MMOs (and got disappointed). Then eventually was ready for some EVE again. Smile
