Just watched the fraps .. did TD kick in at any point during that gank?

Looked a little ridiculous when the MomBlob released fighter bombers, no wonder Odda experienced "issues" if he was indeed multi-boxing .. Smile

I don't think anyone should be less than impressed about this. There's been a lot of whining from null-sec alliances over the past few years about PL, and scuttlebutt is when PL shows up, pretty much everyone has run. So the fact people that have been ignored and insulted by null sec came in and did what was thought of as impossible is something that should put faction warfare on the map.

I think after this, Mittens and the null sec group will have to stop ignoring faction warfare. Sure, it's broken, but fix it and it becomes so much better. And the fact that there are pilots in FW with bigger balls than 75% of null sec should be something to keep in mind next time pirates want to tango with them!

Keep up the good work, and it's good to see the majority of PL take this loss with some dignity. Props to PL for that!

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

QFT !

Btw- there are constant tangos with Pies from the top militia corps in every faction. I've been on comms and fleets where XYZ pirate corp will not want to fight a militia corps because they know that they aren't the sort of scrubs that the public makes them out to be. You will have people informed and misinformed about FW as you do about all parts of EVE.

The general public just don't necessarily hear about these fights given there aren't alot of channels or publications that focus on it. CAOD is mostly nullsec alliances trolling each other. EN24 tends to glorify nullsec warfare.

To be honest, I think most of the FW pilots are fine if they are overlooked by nullsec pilots. They have enough pride and confidence in knowing that they *can* do it when and if they want to as exemplified by recent fights with NOIR and PL.

And Mutnin is right- if you pooled the talent from the top corps from all Factions together, you'd have a very formidable foe. Doubtful if it will ever occur given all the bad blood and hostility as is shown by the trolling in other threads.

We've tried pooling talent together, one of the main reasons it doesn't work is that eve outside of low-sec simply sucks. Quite a few of our better players are former long-time null-sec residents who would insta-quit if we ever set sail for a permanent null-sec residency.

Good on the amarr for beating everyone else to trying something like this and bonus points for actually getting a titan kill out of it.

Deen also has it correct to a point - there are militia corps pirates will be wary of, mostly because theyve either proved they can PVP decently or because they have massive batphones and a willingness to use them freely (for example the alliance between certain amarr militia corps and Raiden before the russian civil war kicked off). Having said that though you have to balance that with situations like the one that happened last night where it took the gallente militia two hours to form up then they acted all butthurt when we decided we didnt feel like jumping into the gang that was a perfect counter to what we had, docked up and carriered our **** home.

anyway the TLDR is that there are good militia corps, theyre just balanced by an awful amount of shite as well

Was never mentioning anything about permanent residency.. While I've never been involved in it but just looking from the out side Sov warfare in it's current incarnation outright sucks. Anything to do with timers, POS's tons of structure HP of stuff that is not piloted doesn't really interest me in the slightest.

What I was thinking was more along the lines of being the Monkey in the zoo and tossing poo around. Lol

Just random joint roams from time to time to **** people off and see if we can stir up some trouble.. That or directly planned gangs to interfere with ongoing wars by tossing a monkey wrench in the mix of fights around known timers.

In other words just stuff to mix up the mundane same ole, same ole.. Maybe random joint roams out to Syndicate or other active NPC space could be fun but tossing 30 or 40 bombers into a big fight just to screw with balance of power from time to time could also be interesting.

Congrats!

You know I was sitting in Dal, bored out of my mind while this was going on. I fail at EVE! Didn't think I needed to be in any intel channels. Seems like I might have been wrong.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Very aptly put. FW are the ever-green pastures where old warhorses roam Smile

Besides, smacking each other on forums doesn't mean we can't copy the WWI armistice for a few hours and bonk some heads in game (as has happened more than once) .. permanent cooperation is probably a bit much to ask for as it kind of kills the purpose of FW and thus the fun Big smile

Hats off to you guys for taking down that titan. Personally I would not shead a tear if every titan and SC got "misplaced" by CCP overnight, but they are in the game so I guess we will have to live with it.

Anyway the next time you do something like this make sure to have a couple of wings of bombers at the ready. A flight of 6 bombs on top of any drone concentration especially the first CLOUD of drones could have made one hell of a diffrence to the outcome of the fight.

No bombs nor bubbles in low-sec...

Well co-op roams to null is something we do from time to time. That's basically the first few dates W-BR & SOTF had before trying we tried to make an alliance together. It's highly likely that we'll be back doing that soon.
