Ok, I have never really bothered with this before in eve, but its been bugging me, how do you hide the brackets of friendlies and drones but keep neutrals and enemies on screen

This is actually pretty easy but tricky in its own way. First you set up your overview and "Save current type selection as" to make a the desired profile. Now in the overview settings go to the last tab "Overview Tabs" and find the tab you just want to apply these bracket settings to. In the "Bracket Profile" column set it to the name of the saved overview and if the ship/drone isn't on your overview, it won't have a bracket!

Nice one Zym, post in this here thread after I sell the character. However, I figured this out about a minut after reading this. Why so complicated? Would it not be easier to create a separate tab that allows you to alter the bracket settings? And thanks for the help Big smile

You can't really "edit the bracket settings." When you change what shows and what doesn't show on your overview window you are also editing the bracket settings. It's just by default that the overview tabs either Show All or Hide All.

You can however make two separate overview profiles. Then load one in the tab and one in the bracket profile and that would be similar to altering the bracket settings.

I have to admit if I had to do it myself I'd probably go a little bonkers, and I'm pretty good with with this sort of thing.

fortunately the corp has a default overview file we use, so its just a matter of downloading and importing the overview profile.

lazy ftw!
