How about destroying market mineral price ? let say half year withaut seling minerals-ore and producing ships? prices of mienral may jump very high after big period of time, we all know those people who suicide love to suicide and pvp, but for pvp they need ships, so stop seling own ore, bump by this way mineral price let them pay for battleships like 250-300mil isk per battleship if they want pew pew, or 3-4mil isk per destroyer, or force them to grind 3 day mission to get some amonut of mineral needed to produce own pvp ships.

Why? because meny of you only cry about suicide ganks etc, maybe you need revnage ? Those suicide gankers destroying your ships and abbility to earn money so do same to them, and stop cry, let them cry and whine about mineral and ships price

If it bleed we can kill it.

Go ahead try but what will really happen is all the trolls here will blame the destruction of the market on something else like Incursions or the Titan nerf somehow with thier twisted troll logic..

I call it simply (destroying) because some players love to destroy other players ideas and sense of play, so lets burn eve economy, who cares, here in eve is freedeom, you can be scamer, you can harras people 2 month long with war dec vs two month old newbis, and CCP allow this.

If it bleed we can kill it.

what... what... wait... WHAT? are you seriously suggesting that every miner STOPPING is a good way to get back at suicide gankers? ummm... wouldn't people not mining pretty much be admitting defeat? and how do you actually seriously expect people to go along with this. Not to mention alot of people who suicide gank either have alts capable of mining, can do so themselves, or at the very least have other people in their corps or alliances who can do it.

So lets assume for a moment here that you somehow do get all the miners to stop selling or and producing ships, well the pvpers will have their alts still doing it. and everyone will still need ships/ammo/etc no matter what they are doing, and with the normal production lines shut down, sure the prices would skyrocket. but that money would be going straight into the pockets of everyone who DOESN'T go along with your plan.

Not to mention that as the prices rise further and further more of these theoretical boycotters will be tempted by the large amount of isk they could make and go back to it. once more flooding the market with ships and minerals driving the price back down.

Knowledge of how the market works, you obviously do not have it.

One major flaw in this plan is that halting hisec mining will only really leave a gap for the null alliances' industry divisions to fill. While the prices of everything will inevitably go up, the gankers will still have ships, and the hisec miners end up losing... because they've all stopped mining.

This revnage thing sounds pretty fun, can I have some too?

@ OP: There are three fundamental problems with your plan:

1. You need everyone to stop selling their minerals. From the new player in his rookie ship, to that guy running a Retriever while he's studying, to the indy corps with fleets of Hulks, to the botters in high and null, to the guys farming drone sites and refining drone goo into minerals.

2. You need no one else to fill in the brand new profitable gap in the market you just created.

3. If you do somehow get everyone to hold onto their minerals, most of the people in #1 will rather make profit in the short term than try and wait out for your long term goal of 300m T1 battleships.

Secret bonus point #4: Your idea is up against great hordes of the most apathetic players, and getting them to achieve a long-term strategic coordinated goal would make herding cats in a thunderstorm seem like child's play in comparison.

How will you buy PLEXes for 18 mining bot accounts if you don't sell those minerals?

You have to lot wreaks form around 11 gone berserk lvl 4 to produce one tier 3 bs. and this take probably one week for one casual in fact 70- 80% minerals are form asteroid bels so dont tell me a bullshit about other mineral source, stupid arogant insinuation. Oh wait drone region... or maybe you got tritanium blueprint Lol

To be fair, he HAS a point. A full out miners strike would play havok with the markets, placing ship production sqarely in the hands of null alliances. Prices would skyrocket (because null alliances know how to use a captive market).

Then in a few months those miners sensible enough to have stockpiled during the strike can make a killing by undercutting the null alliances by 50%, and still make 10x the current market value back of their ore.

Of course it would never actually happen. Miners are gonna mine, botters are gonna bot.

But it would be hilarious if they did all just go on strike for a few weeks, throw the trit price through the roof for a while. All those gankbear tears would probably form a new nebula.

And of course, stockpiling, and buying ship insurance at the peak of the price-hike ad all the other fun, profitable goodies.

The amount of effort needed to pull this off would be tremendous and it'd be even more difficult to organize them together so that they do not actually sell their minerals.

You'd need so many people in a concerted effort to do this.

You could always try this:
Get hundreds of miners to band together and stop mining. If this causes prices to rise then this may attract more and more miners. You could then get your own suicide ganking squads and ravage the mining fields since those miners are not adhering to the strike. The hilarity of miners attacking miners would only be surpassed by the potential of some of the worst possible fits.

Big smile

But, like someone mentioned before, miners are rather apathetic.

Your idea is based on a faulty premise.

The miners of New Eden are not, have never been and probably never will be a unified, organised whole but are a mass of disparte individuals who will sell to the market when it meets conditions they find acceptable.

It also fails to take into account not only mineral reserves held by corps / individuals but also the fact that most serious large scale manufacturers have already put systems in place to ensure a continuity of material supply independent of the market. In fact they would probably welcome the opportunity your scheme would create not only to increase prices but also their market share at the expense of the smaller manufacturers.

This was supposed so many times, and it did´nt work for a single week, never.

Simply because of that mineral prices are up on highsec mins (when in the last years have you seen trit selling for +4,50) and mex is up as well.

Miners make double iskies since lets say last year, and you can afford losing a hulk to ganks after 50 hours of mining.

This, and the fact that it IS possible to tank a hulk so it cannot be destroyed by a single dessy. This, and the fact that they removed insurance for beeing concordokken, and Tier 3 BC are not so cheap.

When they suicide a civilian shieldboosted, cargohold expanded bot, hail to the gankers.

Good luck with your endeavour, sadly won´t work as i said in the beginning.
