Yes... even better than WoW :D. When I first tried it a year ago, I didn't really like it, then I try it again a week or two ago, and I subscribe. Also, It doesn't have a "level" system, so you could go on playing forever, and you possibly never get bored.

It's really sad, but when you look at this forum you could say that nobody likes the game they have been playing for years. Or that CCP are a bunch of fools. Sigh.
When I started playing this game last year I couldn't stop being amazed of how big and deep this game is, and I still think it.

'Can you create a better one? GO start working for CCP, or create your own game and make yourself extremely rich with your awesome ideas...' I tell them.

You could. I wouldn't though. It seems to me that the overwhelming number of negative impressions come from people who are new to the game and don't "get" EVE as a game; thus they try to turn it into a safe haven for mining / non PvP game. After all, if people did not like the game why would they subscribe and pay CCP money (Directly or indirectly)?

Oh and another +1 for those liking EVE. OP - you may find this useful to help you appreciate the depth of EVE. Just keep in mind that everything in EVE, everything, is competition against other players. You don't need to shoot a single ship to engage in PvP.

UO rocked (Pre-Tram)

Eve is one of the best MMOs out there - it's the only decent sandbox left, which is really more what you're talking about.

IMO the secret to not getting burned out, is play a lot of different styles (doing different things). But that's what works for me.

Yep, playing Eve for years and I still love it like no other game, I get bored from time to time and do something silly like selling off my main char or something stupid like thatWhat? but meh, I always come back like a chump and it's still the only game out there that can hold my attention for more than 10 minutes, it's hands down IMO the best game thats ever been made and I'm just glad to be apart of it!!!Big smile

I'd like to see new players forum access restricted to just Trial / New Citizens Q&A etc... for say maybe 6 / 9 months or something like that, just so that they can get on with actually getting to know how to play the bloody game, and not get distracted by the asshats and idiots that sadly over populate the forums.X

Oh and CCP, seriously!!! Would it kill you to give us a bloody forum spell checker???Straight If answer's no, still gonna love you thoLol

Virtual world complete with emergent behavioral patterns, subcultures and motherfucking spaceships <3

While it could get better (and actually does, patch by patch), at the moment EVE Online is the ****, you either play it or miss out on the finest game world mankind has managed to create to date.

I believe people have surprisingly strong emotional ties with EVE, and that is the root of all whines. People love the game, but internet spaceships really is dead serious business Cool

Only thing I'm really sad about is that I didn't start to play earlier.

I'm glad the you gave the game a second try, and we are all extremely glad to have another new player join our ranks. I look back at the days that I too played wow (it was still vanilla) and it just seems like bland grinding in comparison. I have never felt the urge to play the 'generic MMO' since starting Eve.

<3 Eve Forever

P.S. Eve indirectly introduced me to my fiance, so thank you CCP I owe you a lot

MMOs come and go, but Eve remains.  -Garresh-

There is one thing about EVE and it's that even if think that you have quit you still come back from time to time to hear what's going on with the game or your old corp mates.
