I know there is a lot of grief going on right now with the recent patch, but is anyone playing EVE with the chipset mentioned in the title? I'm looking to replace my '09 MBP with one of this years 13" models. trying to avoid going to the 15" MBP. Thanks in advance.

i would not recommend it. It doesn't provide enough "oomph" on top of the overhead of the wrapper.

it depends on how you play as well, if you casually play in high sec, and do not care about low/disabled graphics settings, you will be content with a 13 MBP with intel gpu. You will need low settings to get steady 30+ FPS. you could get away with lmedium in bootcamp, but not in OSX.

If you pvp, or want to play on med-high settings you will need an ati(amd)/nvidia dedicated gpu to get 30+fps in OSX, in bootcamp you should be able to get 60-100 on max settings with the newer ati cards.

alternatively. get the 13 inch, and take the saved cash from not getting a 15 and make a windows desktop for eve.

i would advise against the intel HD chipset if you like to game frequently. It is bare minimum, if you must. play eve in bootcamp to maximize your performance.
