All CSM candidates got a mail from evenews24 about a interview (as copied below). However on mutiple mails from me and other candidates i checked with, eve news never got back too us. From a site that size, running their own candidate, telling everyone they unpartial, that is shamefull behaviour.

I would like to thank people that gave all candidates a fair change helping us, reaching out, like eve radio, Támber, Lorna, Dierdra, other bloggers and people that put up sites and questioniars.

I exspected more, guess i learned a bit more about impartial reporting. Some people said , well its a lot of candidates, well thats bullshit, deliver what u promise. Or atleast have the manners to reply and say sorry we cant deliver cause we fail.

So think twice when u vote, 13 % of eve voted last year, all on big blocks. check my bio and vote non block : http://community.eveonline.com/council/voting/Vote.asp?c=473, sorry bout spamm, but i do need your vote.

CSM interviews
From: Sindel Pellion
Sent: 2012.02.23 00:10
To: corebloodbrothers, Darius III, Issler Dainze, Korvin, leboe, Lyris Nairn, StarConquer212, UAxDEATH, Vincent Athena, Voloses,

Greetings, gentlemen!

Congratulations on your confirmation to the final ballot of the CSM7 election. I wish all of you the best of luck.

But who am I and why should you care?

I am Sindel Pellion: occasional blogger, obsessive Twitterer, bloodthirsty space-cowgirl and sometimes-EveNews24 correspondent. I have been asked by Bagehi to conduct voice interviews with the candidates who are interested. Those of you who arent, please respond to this message with a simple "No, thank you" and a questionnaire will be sent to you.

Questions are gathered from the CSM thread on the forums, the CSM comments on evenews24.com and from tweets received from players. In order to provide fair, balanced, UNBIASED interviews, the questions are being kept from candidates until their interview time. This way, no one can say I playing favorites with Riverini or any of my alliance-mates and our blues.

Once you get to know me, however, youll see these precautions are unnecessary, as Im not the sort of person who gives favors.

People talk.

I am available to talk most evenings (I am located in the US EST), as well as weekend mornings and afternoons. TeamSpeak, Eve Voice, Mumble, Ventrilo, Skype-- name the server, ll be there. Please let me know the dates and times that are conventient for you. Also, if you will be at Fanfest, let me know. Perhaps we can sit and talk and I can transcribe the interview? I like variety. :)

I welcome the opportunity to get more involved in my Eve Online community and believe working hands-on with CSM elections is a great start. I thank you in advance for your time. Again, congratulations and good luck. I look forward to meeting each of you soon.

again, tsk tsk, shame on u

Voting for random highsec candidates is like voting for the green party. You will never get enough votes to matter to anyone.

It seemed clear from the start that the Eve "media outlets" had serious bias going in to this election choosing to focus on a handful of candidates they saw as the "cool kids" of Eve and ignoring a number of candidates in their attempts to put their favorite candidates at an advantage.

The good news is the only that is ignored more than the forums by most Eve players are the Eve media outlets.

The only one of these so called media groups, the Lost in Eve Podcast made an attempt to include anyone that could participate. The others clearly had a list of folks they wanted to promote, no matter what the players might have wanted.

Just another day in the Eve 'verse....

Oh wow another dense person who thinks everyone is out to "get the highsecs." Listen I am not going to look down on someone just because they are limiting there gaming experience compared to myself. Media is going to go with what gives them the most attention.

Do you really think promoting people whose main objective is to protect the highsec carebear lifestyle in eve is going to get people to read? No they want to read about epic wars, politics, gud fites, and major scams.

Yes, why on earth would the majority of Eve want the occasional story about what they like to do most in the game or the people trying to make that experience better....

All anyone in Eve wants is to rush to that end game in NULL where all the cool kids live........

Are you extremely conceited or do you just have to remind yourself of your name at the end of every one of your posts? For all the moaning about how arrogant the Mittani is, even he doesn't do that...

Ah. The name at the end of posts. Denoting some very serious content is above it.

don't feel too bad, they left out random CSM 6 people, including me. Not that I was all that thrilled to have an interview surrounded with ads to vote for someone else anyway...

In general the rule of thumb is this:

If you want to be taken serious, stay away from Eve News 24.

Any even somewhat halfbaked serious Eve player knows that Eve New 24 is far from being a newspaper and more into being a biased propoganda pamflet with pretentions of being releveant.

13 % of eve voted last election, which leaves a potential out here of 87 %, enough too vote every high sec carebear into the CSM in favour of any current member. Even if they are not intrested or even organised, its still a paying majority for Eve.

ignoring players/candidates by simply stating, they are not going to get elected anyway, therefor they can be ignored, smells like dictoriaal regimes that are failing and falling all over the world.

who knows, maybe election procedures will change some day, or high does get organised, or maybe, just maybe, the outcome will not be as exspected. (ofc i see certain members sitting in a golden seat). the 87 % has the power, even dormant.

Just because you can behave as a **** doesnt mean u should.

so if u havent voted, make sure u do, break loose from the 83 %

vote!

It's a fairly reliable indicator that the poster thinks who they are matters more than what they have to say.

Riverini manipulates at his will anyway. He heavily censors EN24, especially if there's something written that he can't dispute and is harming his reputation. As an example, look at this picture, which is the comment section of the news posting about super capitals in different alliances:

http://i.imgur.com/onpse.png

He stole the information from init. intel forums and I called him out on that. This comment was gone, 5 minutes later and just then also the newest posting about the garmon potential exploit went up - by Riverini. I made a screenshot because this is not the first time he deletes "unwanted" comments. Link to the posting so you can see for yourself: http://www.evenews24.com/2012/03/18/super-capitals-online-partial-list/ - the comment is gone (you might need to expand commands by clicking the blue text on grath's posting)

TL;DR: Riverini is a blabbermouth and can't be trusted. Especially not to be fair and unbiased.
