That one's pretty memorable too, for those of us who actually learnt our history from something other than TV and North American factory farms public schools.

Not cool, goonies. Not cool at all.

E: Yeah, I know, you scrubs'll have a field-day with me just Godwinning myself--Godwin's a douche, too, so **** him and his "law."

Why do so many people hate Queen? Is it because Freddie Mercury was bisexual? Take your homophobia (biphobia?) elsewhere.

If the Goons do understand the historical 'link' between One Eve, One Vote, One Chairman, and, Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein Furher, then they are rather like the teenager who thinks it is 'hard' to swear in front of his/her parents.

If they are not aware of the 'link' they really need to stop playing Eve and attend some history classes in high school.

This is not a signature.

I don't hate Queen, actually, far from it.

Some of their stuff's a bit too pop for my liking--I prefer my tunes on the much darker/harder end of the spectrum--but w/ev, there's just no arguing taste.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

Not sure if serious?

Are you truly so pig-ignorant that you're not aware of the link between the two?

Sigh..."The Internet makes you stupid," indeed!

We're communists, this makes no sense.

I thought it was all about the chairman for life (4lyfe) or king of space. Anyway, you should have posted this in that thread.

It's true, the dominant political party of 1930s and 40s Germany is the only group that ever used the number one. Anyone else using the number one must be affiliated with or alluding to them, and not to the wonderful song "One Vision" by Queen.

And ironically, there is another CSM candidate who has stated publicly that he supports the hateful ideology that everyone's trying to connect this to, but everybody is so fixated on that evil Mittani and is horde of goons that nobody's even bothered to check. I'd state his name but every time I do, CCP mods delete the post, ostensibly because they don't want to bring real world politics into the campaign.

So because you really, really want us to be Nazis, we used a Nazi slogan rather than a Queen song in spite of everything we've said to the contrary. Some of us are Jewish and even more of us are Russian. If you think that the deaths of 50 million people are nothing more than a gimmick you can use to try to manufacture indignation in an internet spaceships election, that makes you a disgusting human being.

Tarryn and Josef literally have more respect for an internet spaceships game than they do for one of history's greatest tragedies. And people get all bent out of shape about goons.

I do not think mittens is evil, just tiresome, as are the Goons to be honest.

Have you been reading your history books backwards

CSM 5 was when the CSM started to shine now its just a joke. Pure and simple.

CSM 5 was just as terrible as the ones before it, or we'd have seen Crucible instead of a half baked Incarna.

CSM 6 just approached CCP in a manner that they understand, as a company and as a developer. Theres also an understanding that the CSM doesn't bring ideas to the table, it brings players needs and wants to the table and acts as a sanity check for CCP. CSM 6 was the first to understand that.

Now we have people trying to get into CSM7 thinking that they get to add new features to EVE and if Mittens doesn't get Chairman I think CSM 7 will be just as bad as 1,2,3,4 and 5.

It is stupid to assume that only because 90% of characters reside in hisec, they all are potential carebear-candidate voters.

A big share of hisec players are completely autistic solo players who do not ever interact with other players voluntarily. Those players will never vote because they simply do not care.

Another big share is alts of nullsec players or even their mains that are "temporarily" in hisec. Even if those players do actually spend the majority of time in hisec, they still feel like null players and that is where their mental focus lies.

Next big group is new players, only in the game for some weeks or months. Many of them will never develop a serious interest in the game and drop out soon. They don't know or care enough to vote in space elections. Others are seriously interested, but they see themselves as future kings of nullsec, even if they are or feel not currently ready for anything but hisec carebearing. These people will vote for their future interests, if they do vote.

Then of course there's pirates, gankers and griefers in hisec, too.

Long-term, serious players who are dedicated hisec carebears may still be a large group, but they are not the 90% majority they think they are.

*Shrug* Actually not an alt, I quit a couple years back and made the mistake of giving my characters to a friend, didn't think I'd be coming back. So, yeah, now I have to start from scratch. I view it as a challenge.

Also, amusing that my post is meant to illustrate why people may vote for Mittens even though they dislike goons, but you choose to focus on the enemy bit.

Thank you. But to be completely honest I wouldn't have even bothered if I had realized that The goons were styling The Mittani after ******. I want no part of this. Apparently it blocks the name of the **** leader responsible for the deaths of over 15 million people.

You are a complete arse !!!!

Any Queen fan would of spotted that they lifted that line from One Vision

I have no affiliation to the goons, in fact the only time I have ever spoken to a goon was via the recruitment channel when one of there members tried to scam me.

I have to admit they were very nice and polite, even after I pointed out that I was well aware of the scam.

The Goons, like any other player, corp, alliance are free top play anyway they chose so long as its in the confines of the rules set out by CCP.

Why people have such an issue with them is beyond me.

I suppose people naturally just hate those who are at the top of the pile... go figure

Or is it just your spite filled posts that make you seem so young and immature?
