This is the only move RA can make other than death.

Not sure I share your optimism but what you said is what I heard too, that -A- wanted the deal to avoid structure grinding. The reasons why you think RA agreed, I would be skeptical of accepting at face value. What the grunts are told is not always the way it went down behind closed doors.

Also, it's quite clear that -A- wasn't just a passive observer. They told FAIL to GTFO so that RA could have the space. FAIL leadership has been trying hard to sell this like it was some kind of actual plan but the fact is you screwed them.

T-

Whether or not the reasons we think RA agreed are true doesn't matter, the "facts on the ground" so to speak were that they were stuck between a rock and a hard place. I think fights in Insmother exposed the fact that RA no longer had a fighting force capable of holding back the -A- team. It was a good idea for them to make a deal and similarly -A- no longer considers RA to be a military threat. That could change a year from now but I think thats probably part of the fun. FYI we weren't told anything so we had to glean information from various forums and websites.

I will try to address your comments on FAIL here. To be perfectly honest FAIL is not considered as valuable an ally as say Nulli Secunda has been. I do not recall FAIL activity up on the RA front recently and leading up to the fall of C-J6. In short they haven't been on the coalition front lately and their absence was noticed. There isn't the same amount of respect for FAIL as there is for Nulli (who is willing to fight on multiple fronts and tries extremely hard, FAIL was once like this under Manny) or Red.Overlord (always shows for our CTAs, like a sister alliance to -A-, we combine our fleets) even on a grunt level. After the fall of C-J6 we invited some PL guys on to our teamspeak and Manny joked that we should just reset FAIL and "end this monstrosity" most of us thought it was funny because it did feel like FAIL as a whole was pretty useless. I remember seeing a killmail of a FAIL A titan not too long ago and thinking OMG these guys really do fail. It just seems like FAIL has gotten sweet on their space and soft, forgotten the nomadic CTA lifestyle of the -A- team. From the -A- point of view RA is a stronger alliance to have in Delve/Q even in its diminished form, the only reason FAIL held on to that space for so long is because no one made a serious push.

What is NEM3?

We are like the amoeba - you may push in our cinnamon donut but we will merely envelop you, as a starfish, or maybe goatse man crossed with the Sarlacc. Yeah, now that is an image.

Sure, it might not be Delve's biggest pocket, it may be only an Alabama Hotpocket, but its our pocket of pus and vinegar, and we're only here for the good fights, not the long fight. We took our space without FAIL or anyone's help, on a whim, due to the whispering of some prostitute we hired in Bratislava one cold wnter's night. Sure, it was a crazy idea, but it felt good at the time.

Maybe the blow's worn off and the cops are banging on the door asking about the bloodstains downstairs. But dammit, we've got a lot of guns in here, and we're either going to fight, or do a combat roll out the window and who knows where we'll land? You slurries just don't understand.

Actually you took "your" space because we didn't bother defending it. Don't let that get you down, though. The morale boosting alliance emails we've been seeing from you guys have been awesome.

RA took our space without a fight because we let them, and paid us fat wads of space dollars. On this accounting, we did better than Goons, who were just space-sissies. At least our corrupt alliance XO's are rich space sissies.

What I heard is that -A- said to Fail and friends GTFO and that Nem3is merged with Nulli because they were caught twisting in the wind but still had the balls to stand up to -A- and say "no" to a bad deal even when it was looking like you had limited options. I'm sure your diplos earned their ISK when that happend. It's not exactly the same as "giving" RA the space, but I can understand that your alliance leaders tried to put a spin on it.

A la.. that much is of no consequence. The fun part for Nem3sis is still coming.

I didn't hear about RA paying ISK for the space but I don't doubt you if you say this. However, part of the deal was that RA was going to be blue... at tleast for the time being, which creates a "decision point"

FAIL got marginalized and shoved in a corner by -A- who, it's pretty clear, don't take them seriously anymore (or actually, since Manny left, I think). They're also so far away from the action now that they no longer matter in EVE and will probably die a death of attrition/boredom due to not being able to offer content.

However, together with Nulli the situation for Nem3sis has pretty good potential to create content. You can wait out the blue thing with RA and go back to killing them in Querious or you could band up with them and push into Fountain to make Goons/Test fight on two fronts. If it were me, I'd be sending my three wise men bearing gifts to see RA leaders sooner rather than later.

Having RA replacing FAIL in Querious will be a godsend for anyone living in Delve no matter how the coin falls because
No matter how you see it though, either fighting RA or fighting the CFC will create many LOL's and gf's over the next year. Nem3sis was already a good small gang alliance but because of this development you will learn how to fight on the big-stage, which will benefit you on the long term as your FC's reach a new plateau. That's all good and it increases your staying power.

You really have to had it to Nem3sis for picking the short straw but ending up with decent mid-term perspective. Part of me would really enjoy seeing the CFC having to fight INIT, NCDOT and Raiden. in the north and RA and Nulli in the south. I bet Goons can do it but I'd like to see them have to try.

So... the question on my mind is this: What is Krysis doing? They had several stations in Querious including the key A2- station which has been transfered to RA already. Are they just going to cut and run, merge with Nulli or RA, move where -A- tells them they can go, or stand and face the 1000-lb gorilla alone?

It's difficult to take FAIL seriously when their founder no longer takes them seriously.

@Tinu Moorshum;

Well, some parts of NEM3SISsies may indeed be attempting to merge with Nulli. When we speak to Rumourbot 3000 (beta), Rumourbot says Nulli is going to be stabby-backed by -AAA- or RA or space zombies, and anyway, the offer included being shunted into Nulli Terriblus...I mean Tertius, piecemeal, as peon corps in need of training. So intents and actions do not neccessarily line up.

Considering the amount of flagrant carebearing and emo and bad flying and bad comms discipline the vast majority of NEM3 exhibited, Nulli Tertius is probably a fair cop of the sausage. That would see NEM3 evaporate. We lost a few corps full of carebears already, as you expect from things like this, one in memorable fashion when a member came into Alliance comms spouting for hours about how we'd all be dead and buried - think Chicken Little with a pottymouth. So he earned his corp a kicking and they sat around in Chamemi having tantrums for hours in their caps. Luls.

End result, RA paid NEM3 to save themselves the mind-numbing job of taking out all the structures and crap. That is a satisfactory win-win scenario for RA and NEM3's XO's,who are now reputedly space-rich. RA saved themselves risk, and they can now get around to running blood raider missions for XL crystals, and grinding sanctums and collecting the rent from the bitches.

Less so a win-win for NEM3's pride, and to be honest, I'd have preferred getting rolled at least a couple times. Its just spaceships, a rearguard guerilla action is possible, and can be reasonable fun.

We got a 5 day bluesfest for stragglers to evac to NPC Delve; AFAIK NEM3 is not permablue (except in the balls department) towards RA or their allies. But of course, I know nothing, as I am a grunt and the hallowed leadership are keeping it shtum. Or they have NFI and are flailing about like spasmo's.

What next? Well, I don't know. Leadership is silent, if not completely absent, spending the ISK no doubt on pimped ships, combat drugs, and PLEX. There's the vaguest hint of moving to "our new systems", but where they are, and whose batty-boys we will be, and what rent we have to pay in terms of humiliation, crap rats, crap truesec, or teaming up with disastrous failures, who knows?
