Epic mission arc branch-point agents are malfunctioning = petition when you need

It appears that the branch-point in the epic arcs (lvl4s confirmed, pirate and others assumed) are currently broken.

This commenced with the recent patch and hasn't yet been fixed.

Initially branch point agents would deliver a blank widow when you started a convo with them. This was fixed and then they did not provide you with a button to accept the mission. That is still the case.

The 'fix' at present is to petition and advise the GM of which branch you wish to choose. They (so far) have responded pretty quickly and manually complete the choice for you, moving you to the chosen branch ... where things work properly again.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Well it would seem that by way of petitions and bug reports CCP is already aware of the problem. So this thread isn't really necessary.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

LOL, so why did you post to it and turn it from an announcement into a thread? Just to demonstrate your uberness?

anyways the advice is not for CCP, 'd have posted in another forum if that was my intention. the advice is for ppl running those arcs who get the problem, and happen to think of checking the forums to see whether it's only them or whether others are similarly troubled.

Hopefully they will see that it's an established problem atm, and not just their client, and will then approach CCP directly.

I don't expect your-uberness to agree but I reckon that is well worth a forum posting.

Thank you for posting this. I am doing an arc right now.

Thank you Subs, my arcs are coming available again in a couple weeks. Hope they're fixed by then. Oops

I just finished the gallente one and the final choice agent worked fine. The day earlier was when the previous branch point failed ... and the response to my petitions suggested it was a known problem comment to epic arc branch points. I don't think there's been an update since then, but it'd be nice it is was gone.

I'm off to test on Caldari and Amarr arcs shortly :-)

To be completely honest I'm not sure it would matter to me if they didn't fix this one in a hurry. The last two times I did the empire arcs on my characters I've had to petition at least two of them (never seems to be the same two though, oddly enough) for the standing not be awarded. Filing petitions every time I run them has become more or less part of the ritual. Lol

Thankfully, the GMs have done a pretty good job of correcting these issues in a timely fashion.
