Hey guys :)

After doing a massive amount of trialaccounts over the years i finally got a clue how this game works :D
Finally enjoying it. I found my place in the Explorer section.
I am searching for combat and radar/mag. sites at the moment with probe and kestrel(I love the rockets) and want to keep this kind of rocket boats.
Found that the tengu is the ship i want to own in (near) future for exploration.

Now my question is, is there another ship that i could use for making money faster (low sec? cov ops? rocket-ship?) until i get to my tengu?
Read lots of guides but it´s amount of information is overwhelming and often hard to understand at my actual point of progress in game.
I would appreciate some simple tips on how i can be more effective.

After making some solid ISK over the time I´d like to do pvp, is there any chance of combining important skills? (certificates?)

Look at the covert ops class of ship... The class contains the stealth bomber and a t2 probing frigate. The bomber us sb excellent pvp ship, uses bombs and Torps, and would be a good progression. The only drawback is the bomber is not for running sites.

That said, the probing frigate will make finding sites easier.

For sites or pve, the Drake is your next choice.

Honestly, work your way upto a Drake, then covert ops, them tengu.

Tengu is king in highsec and nullsec, places where heavy missiles are easily purchased, and places where refit stations are plentiful.

If you are like me; however, and rather like the idea of striking out into some bunghole region for a week at a time where such amenities are harder to come by drone boats are king. I highly reccomend the arbitrator, ishtar, pilgrim, and legion (yes, drone sub) for your list of future exploration ships. Not necessarily in place of, but in addition to the tengu.

total time wasting advice

the time you spend in drake/CoVert is wasted once you get the Tengu, you'll be wishing you could reset those sp
You don't need the covert subsystem in hi-sec, so you can get those skills later

Skip anything that is not a direct path to a tengu with a fair shield tank against your chosen NPCs.
