Naming Planets in PI

Just been playing round with my PI setup and accidentally clicked back onto the same planet twice using the Science & Industry panel because I got the roman numerals muddled up, and the thought struck me! Wouldn't it be nice if you could right click on the planets in your S&I panel and give them each a name so you can tell them apart easier. For example you might have 3 Lava planets running (not sure why but you might) and being able to name them something memorable might help make the process of running them a bit easier and imo a bit more friendly. Personally "Amarr Planet IV" doesn't sound like a nice place to visit but "Zsamaels Lava Fun Land" sounds like fun for the whole family! =D

btw I wasn't 100% sure where this post should go which is why it ended up in S&I Bear

probably should be in F&I, not here.

that said, the idea isn't terrible ... PROVIDED THAT it would write out as such:

Amarr IV (Zsamel's Fun Land)

and obviously only be visible to you.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

derp my bad yo, will post there next time I get a flash of inspiration. yeah that was the formatting idea I had in my head when I was thinking about it, and yeah it would only be visible to you just as a little thing to make life a bit easier.

Speaking as someone with 6 planets, I like this idea a lot.

Amarr VI (Factory)
Amarr VII (Coolant)

whatever. Just make it happen.

I lied :o

For each level in this skill, you may install a command center on one additional planet, to a maximum of 6 planets. You can have only one command center per planet. Cannot be trained on Trial Accounts.

Doing this already. But I agree the science and industry window needs the names.
A simple effective improvement, we need more of these on the Features & Ideas forum.

Agreed. Plus it helps you not losing vital seconds when you are doing PI in low-sec.
