[Proposal] T3 Industrial Mobile Baseship - Half Rorqual / Half Mini-POS

I have been thinking for a while about a T3 industrial that would be half Rorqual, Half Mini-POS. Basically it would operate in either a "mobile" or "deployed" mode with different functionalities depending on how it is fit (similar to changing out T3 cruiser subsystems). I believe this would be a great thing for smaller gangs would do not have the ability or interest in defending a single system/POS/outpost long term. It would also provide an interesting new angle in system invasion and defense mechanics, possibly with sov interruption functions, etc.

Basic concept:

- Half Rorq, Half mini-POS

- Corp / Alliance level asset

- Mobile, with jump drive obviously

- When mobile, functions limited to mineral compression, fleet/mining bonuses, corp maintenance hangar, large cargohold, etc (basically super Rorq)

- Ability to "deploy" into POS mode, but cannot move for a set time once deployed, say 24 hours

- When deployed would consume POS fuel and have a range of functions depending on subsystems (i.e. refining, small number of manufacturing slots, small number of lab slots, perhaps a small/medium POS equivalent force field, etc)

- When deployed also gives access to additional hangars such as corp hangar, fuel bay, etc

- For defense purposes I would suggest a force field enabling subsystem, the ability to launch a small wing of fighters/bombers when mobile or deployed, perhaps the ability to anchor a small number of guns/EWAR/etc when deployed though you would either have to unanchor to move or lose them if move

- I would also like to see it have a jump clone bay, repair station for ships perhaps using a T3 component similar to nanite repair paste, etc.



Would appreciate everyone's thoughts / feedback, whether or not you think this would be a good addition

The small holdings thread for 0.0 stuff a lot of ideas such as this were thrown out. Essentially a "hideout" I suppose you could do it with 2 characters 1 has a cloaked orca the other is for doing whatever... But that's jerry rigged at best. Would be neat to have a "hideout" that you could add mods to defend it's self or cloak while you go off and do XYZ.

Looks solid

Tho i would hold down on T3 part

Will go just for superRorqual .. as we got carriers and supercarriers...

Altho cant see any profit from it... except find some non-inhabited wh ..deploy make max isk you can and move out...

Definetly not for small operation in red space to sneak in and wreak havoc. Altho with some tweaks it could be fun...

Bridge it to enemy territory - deploy move pilots there all gets their BS ... and move forward...
Depend on the time taken to deploy to Stationary Structure.. tho it would get destroyed after the deploy if the combat go awry. Even if it dont it probably wont survive since nobody will waste 24 hrs guarding it... unless you can make the enemy space blue in that time that is...
