CCP needs the Launcher and i support the idea. It is going to save them time in the long run and that means the devs can use the time to add features and fix bugs.

The Launcher is a good thing for the devs and the players.

Just give them time to iron the bugs out.

I fully understand that everything can't be working perfectly straight way but it leaves me with a question of then why am I paying for a service that I can't actually use. Essentially I am just giving money away.

Confirmed same here. My skill que's have been in active since 1.5 went live. I even submitted a petition for Skill points and game time to be reimbursed

I don't think manual patch will work. There seems to be something in the 1.5 game code that is triggering certain ISP-based security systems, which would explain why our downloads keep getting interrupted.

This of course is conjecture on my part. Switching ISPs fixed the issue for me so there you have it. I have seen similar ills in my line of work as a network analyst with other programs like Microsoft Office Communicator.

Every patch I have to download the offline installer and manually reinstall the game. Then I have to go through and disable the launcher again. Then CCP releases another patch a day or two later. Rinse/Repeat. The launcher is AWESOME!
