the launcher becomes inactive when i try to load up the game from it

like many this new patch has created a lot of issues for sum users. at first i wasn't even able to open up the launcher because of a failed launcher error but i have gotten that fixed. right now my only problem is the launcher its self. i can manage to load up the launcher but the moment i push play it becomes inactive. i figured maybe it would just take a little longer than usual so i waited roughly 20 minutes nothing. closed out, rebooted, repair tool, and open up the launcher again but got the same results; a unresponsive launcher. last night i had left my PC on for 6 hours with the launcher in the "loading" phase with the same results; an inactive unresponsive launcher and still no game. few friends of mine suggested it could be on my end with some software or programs clashing with one another. seemed plausible however, the only new software i downloaded in the past week was this new patch and launcher and before then Eve started up just fine with no issues,

trying to look for answers or a work-around to this problem. so far I've tried a complete re-install both the online and the manual install, tried with a new compatibility, ran as administrator, turned off my firewall, and open directly from my CCP folder. im just trying to get somewhere or something out of it maybe something i haven't done yet. already petitioned and unsubscribed just in case my eve for some reason doesn't come back.
